Alistair Thorne enters his new office - his gaze sweeps across the desk, the walls. So this is the new office… minimalist, functional - exactly the way he likes it. He takes the final steps and lets himself sink into the new chair.

“Finally, we can begin.”

He reaches for a cigar and pours himself a whisky. Before him? The blueprints for the new and first space station of the Thorne Industrial Group, ‘Resolution Heavy Works’. With a skeptical eye, he verifies that all specifications have been implemented correctly. It has been a long road to get here:

> Scouting a strategic and logistically sound location.

> Applying for the necessary permits.

> The logistical challenges of constructing a space station.

Alistair briefly massages his temple before lighting the cigar and taking a sip of whisky - the first swallow burns pleasantly. In the background, he hears the dull thrumming of the hydraulic presses and the smelting furnaces, which have already commenced full-scale production. Music to his ears - he knows that with every reactor produced, with every gold bar pressed, Bretonia’s backbone grows.

He flips through the foreman’s latest report:

“Good day, Mr. Thorne. We are proud to report that production on our three lines is already running at 87%. We expect full output once the personnel and machinery have settled in. The warehouses are filling up, and we have already dispatched the first shipment of Focusing Chambers.”

A faint smile spreads across his face. The former workers from Leeds are proving to be exceptionally efficient.

Only one area causes him concern: the extraction of gold deposits from Dublin. The Asteroid Miners from the Redcarr Production Facility in Newcastle seem to be struggling in the dense asteroid field, appearing like relics of a bygone era: too heavy, too sluggish, immobile.

“Mass wins no resources if it lacks maneuverability,” he mutters into the smoke of his cigar.

In the medium term, Resolution Heavy Works will require a more nimble, agile solution for this region.
