Additional Notes:
Well, hey. This is my entry about myself! What to write? A few general things first?
Favorite Food: Anything Kaiseki
I am passionate about the violin, the piano, my vision for Kusari and Iri.
The total amount of attempts on my life reached [6] as of [836].
Ever since the cat incident within the parliament building, we have three cats. Mai and Airi back on Honshu, Anko back at the office.
I suppose the next best move is to split this into personal relations, work stuff and so on? Sucks to keep note but I'm starting to get overwhelmed with so many things at once.
Personal Relations
I love my Sis.
I still consider Raven a good friend, despite her literally losing her mind.
I am secretly a bit jealous of Ayakashi but I really, really want her as my friend.
His Imperial Majesty Kogen-sama is a surprisingly considerate, even vibrant old man behind the stone cold facade of the state's head.
Taiga Kogen still has not married. He keeps giving me looks, makes gifts, interrupts my business at the Imperial Palace to chat. I think we're almost there with our plan.
Sometimes I miss the days where I would jump from talking to the Core Guildmaster over to the Grand Admiral of the Overwatch within minutes.
I should really give Palistri a call. It has been quite a while and she was always so full of energy. Hope she does well with her new home.
Noboru basically became my full time advisor by 835. I can't thank the man enough for his continued support.
There are so many people I came across over the years. Many to call friends, some who might've been friends, some who I am glad to never meet again. Too many to list.
A couple years ago I started to draft notes on my opinions on Sirian organizations, I figured I could expand it bit by bit over time. A mix of knowledge and personal experiences, so to speak. Was I bored during every entry? Probably. Iri said it's nice to keep notes like these anyway. For convenience I split the entries by region.
The Empire of Kusari - I serve the people of Kusari for over a decade now. The Empire is far from flawless but the institutional control mechanisms following the reunification, the knowledge that some long-term issues are being tackled.. change is slow but the change is positive. And I carry it forward, despite antagonization by those foolish enough to believe entire worlds can be changed by force. The rise of the Hanazono is worrisome, I will offer them a joint parliament to keep them in line, they lack governance experience so it shouldn't be too much trouble.. I hope. (Last edit: 836)
Kusari Naval Forces - Proud, traditional, fierce and reliable. Our house faced many hardships throughout the last decades, if not for their strength none of us would be here. Nobody is flawless though, them included. But I widely prefer them over their Libertorian or Bretonian counterparts. (Last edit: 835)
Kusari State Police - Career personnel, usually not easily bribed. I know, I tried. Sometimes a bit stuck-up with old role models. Otherwise easily ten times better at their job than the LPI or RFP. (Last edit: 832)
KOI - They always gave me creepy vibes to be honest. Very thorough in what they do but also a bit too adventurous for my taste. Ayakashi is different, kept herself intact whereas other Agents slowly replace their entire selves with just their job. (Last edit: 835)
Hogosha - They try to meddle into everything, I mean it. Everything. Just so much as the hint of profit or leeway over someone even remotely up any corporate food chain or otherwise? Yeah, they're there for it. It makes them an incredibly good source for intel though, so I keep them happy with the occasional donation in exchange for their services. (Last edit: 834)
Gas Miner Guild - Yes, I attribute them to Kusari. If some people read this, they would be very upset but they remain culturally and economically rooted with Kusari. I appreciate their role as buffer, as shield towards the Omicrons and for their commitment to continued economic cooperation. The infighting with Samura and to an extension the Hogosha is tiring, needless but probably irreversible reality. They are best left to themselves for now. (Last Edit: 832)
Kishiro Technologies - The easier to deal with of the two Keiretsu. Innovative, a broad spectrum of companies and services. Personal fan of their entertainment branches. Had to align the Miyasu Zaibatsu with a Keiretsu after all, went for Kishiro. They developed the Jump Drive, amazing technology. Scary. I saw some of the tests, including the first fatal one. This technology should remain in a tightly controlled environment, in the best case, an environment continuously controlled by myself. The schematics were leaked by Lane Hackers. Incomplete, full of malware, only a matter of time until someone tries to construct one. This could wipe out entire continents by accident in this case. I need a solution, urgently. (Last Edit: 836)
Samura Heavy Industries - Samura is archaic and often seen as incompetent or sluggish. Quite the contrary, the largest corporation network of Sirius is no joke. They are sly bastards and keep an iron grip on vast parts of the Chamber of Peers. They approached me repeatedly but there was little they could do against my own threats. We found common grounds and they stopped harassing me after a while too. Despite their practices, they cannot be replaced as easily as some wish. A gradual development is already underway, forced upon them by systematic realities. (Last Edit: 835)
Farmer Alliance - Financially dependent on Samura's good grace, a fact barely disguised if you climb up the political ladder far enough. I pity them, the combination of Samura's own mistakes and external unjust pressure caused their very existence. Desperation grew them, illusions of simple solutions keep them dedicated to Samura's bidding. I have spoken to a few of them and share the basic concept of restoring Kusari's food self-sufficiency but it is simply not as easy as banning Synth Foods and hoping for the best. Planet Kyushu needs a new hope, the civil government needs to sway more influence from Samura towards our centralized institutions. (Last Edit: 834)
Blood Dragons - Disillusioned terrorists. Born out of the system's flaws, bolstered by populist propaganda and promises of solutions in reality unachievable through the path of violence they take. Key concepts of their agenda are not too far off with changes that need to happen but the road towards these goals cannot be reckless violence or revolution. The stability of the Sirian economy and social structures relies heavily on no house to ever collapse in on itself truly. They would jeopardize the sector's delicate balance in hopes of betterment, when they might as well just plunge hundreds of millions into chaos and poverty instead. (Last Edit: 833)
Golden Chrysanthemum - The very definition of exploiting the vulnerability of people. Women's rights remain a topic to improve within Kusari but we've taken steps in the right direction. Far reaching steps. If their version of promoting women's rights was the blatant disrespect to human lives and the lunatic idea of installing a matriarchy - aimed at just turning the system upside down to harass innocent men - they could be have even be political allies. But they strayed off that path centuries ago and stuck to aimless terrorism. Not only that, they submitted to Malta's poison to the point of growing religious usage of Cardamine. I feel deep remorse for any sister of Kusari ending in their claws and can only pray she does not suffer for long. I will keep doing my best so that less fall for their hollow promises. (Last Edit: 834)
LPI - I had friends within the LPI back during my days in Liberty. That was the only positive aspect about them, ever. I was even offered a career path there once. So glad I declined. They're a disgrace to the term "Police" but are quite fitting to Liberty after all. (Last Edit: 829)
Liberty Navy - Alan Jones, Jack O’Neill, John Sader. Three Admirals, three times honorable servicemen. Their Navy changed drastically once these three started to lose influence or were killed in action. Everything I've seen of the Liberty Navy since was either unprofessional or outright destabilizing. They follow orders blindly and ready up for a war a handful of politicians and members of their Admiralty paint as absolutely necessary. Greed and paranoia are a dangerous combination. (Last Edit: 836)
LSF - Not all too different from the KOI, with but one noticeable difference. The LSF loves to parade around and try to impose their orders on other parts of Liberty's law enforcement. (Last Edit: 830)
DSE and USI - No need to note down what they do. I just faintly recall a very friendly lady of the DSE who assisted greatly in the customization of the Liner we owned prior to the Sunekosuri. Thanks, I guess. (Last Edit: 832)
Ageira Technologies - The KOI concluded that Ageira is the largest party behind the Libertorian politicians pushing for war. The why is too obvious: The Jump Drive. Innovation outscaling their success from centuries ago and their best idea on how to deal with it? Incite a war potentially costing millions of lives and destabilizing the sectors already damaged economy? Fuck them. (Last Edit: 836)
Xenos - Some call us xenophobic and they're not too far off. We're Xenos-phobic because they already reek from the racist nonsense they spouted back when I resided in Liberty. (Last Edit: 831)
Liberty Rogues - Pirates with little to no morale other than credits. What else is there to say? (Last Edit: 826)
Lane Hackers - Know-how and greed, turning the anti-corporate into corporates on the other side of the law. Mildly ironic. Used to like them despite the Cardamine involvement. The leak of the incomplete JD schemata is too disastrous to even remotely consider this a realistic stance these days. Easily the most destabilizing act since the Gallic Invasion. Need to prepare countermeasures and adequate reactions asap. (Last Edit: 836)
Bretonia Armed Forces - A proud army which endured and survived unimaginable hardships. Foes turned to friends turned to allies, over necessity and a sincere bound that grows. Their usage of the Jump Drive is really worth observing, clever call by Kishiro to have a long-term testbed during active combat deployments outside of Kusari at first. I should seek personal contacts there some time. (Last Edit: 835)
BPA - Never really talked to any of them. I just know they were nearly grinded to dust during the Gallic War and have since been bolstered by a poorly financed Civil Defence Initiative. They travelled past New Tokyo once in accordance with prisoner exchange programs. They were oddly cheerful for underpaid, badly equipped police forces. Maybe they take donations? (Last Edit: 835)
BIS/BAE - Not sure what they are up to. I just know they're working in close cooperation with the KOI over the Dublin Jump Bridge. And I heard rumors about a so-called "BAE" detachment, whatever that is. Not exactly a priority. Victor Steiner hasn't been around in a while, I am kind of glad. (Last Edit: 835)
Bowex, Gateway, Planetform and BMM - Bretonia's corporations. Each with their own twist, issues and quirky personnel. The most memorable was a certain Hidamori-san who worked for Bowex and who gave me valuable pointers when I briefly stayed at Freeport 1. Strange how some names just stick to me over such small stuff. (Last Edit: 828)
Molly - Self-proclaimed freedom fighters. Whilst I do not doubt BMMs questionable business and ethic practices, their near successful secession of Dublin plunged the sector into economic crisis mode. Any destabilizing factor to Kusari is also destabilizing my own plans. (Last Edit: 834)
Gaians - Protecting the environment through terrorist attacks. This is on the mild side compared to other criminal groups of Sirius. But they also deployed bioweapons and surely did not discard of the means to develop them after achieving the abandonment of Planet Gaia by Bretonia. They're a potentially very dangerous wildcard. (Last Edit: 833)
Rheinland Law Enforcement - Not much to say here, never had much points of contact with them. Rheinland is constantly drowning in their own issues anyway and since the Saigon Crisis, they made no further attempts to antagonize Kusari. Neither shall we antagonize them. (Last Edit: 832)
Rheinland Corporations - Wrestling for resources, trying to deal with sometimes systematic internal issues, trying to survive in the economically unstable environment that is Rheinland. As with the other houses except Gallia, they're part of the immense interdependency network of Sirian economy. That's all there really is to them. (Last Edit: 830)
Red Hessians - Revolutionaries who seem more interested in money and control over smuggling goods than actual revolution. Liberty Rogues with more people, bigger guns and the guts to face off with the Rheinland Military directly. Too far away for us to worry but they're the main destabilizing actor in Rheinland. (Last Edit: 832)
Bundschuh - A former political party turned ideologically charged criminals. Still holding political ambitions. I remember very well what Golanski said about them and their usefulness. I don't think all of their talking points are a waste but any types of contact are an interference with Rheinland's sovereignty and too troublesome to bother with the idea alone. (Last Edit: 834)
Landwirtrechtbewegung - Hah I got their name right on the first try. A farmer lobbyist group turned into a violent uprising. Heavily tied to the unjust pressure exerted by Liberty for Synth Foods centuries ago. Pressure upheld to this day. I can only sympathize with them, especially since as other criminal groups they truly seem to try and limit their attacks to Synth Foods only. (Last Edit: 835)
Gallic Law Enforcement - Indoctrination never left their ranks. The state might change names but the mindset remained mostly the same. Our revenge was served and whilst I remain split on its usefulness and would have rather chosen other methods to keep them isolated, it so far seems to have worked out well enough. (Last Edit: 834)
Gallic Corporations - From all I understand, some are controlled, some exert control over their government since the days of the Kingdom. I do not despise them but opening trade with Gallia will not happen within the next decades at least. Too gruesome are the memories of Leeds. (Last Edit: 834)
Unione Corse - Drug dealers with mafia structures. Influential within Gallia but not comparable to what the Hogosha can pull at home. We don't need them anywhere close to Kusari. (Last Edit: 833)
The Maquis - Radical terrorists and a splinter group of the Council. I never understood the Council for betraying their values to easily, nor why the Maquis did not attempt to take helm of the movement. They terrorize Gallia and primarily strike military infrastructure, which by all means feels not like the worst thing to do. Probably too delusional to work with though. (Last Edit: 833)
The Technocracy - Just one word: Weird. Next to Raven and Leviathan, everything about them seems off. Diplomacy more volatile than Ravens own one. I can't make sense of why they do what they do, as it seemingly always draws back to antagonizing everyone around them.
The Core - I vividly remember Nodtviet. An ambitious man befitting the ambitious project the Core represents. Conquest through near limitless funding in return for valuable resources flowing back to the houses. Basically an infinite money glitch. I understand why Rayne was with them for so long. Recent experiments with the Gammu Drones are a bit off-putting though. (Last Edit: 835)
The Order - With Golanski seemingly in retirement married to his beloved Lady Red, the Order became much more unpredictable than they already were before that. Recent strikes against Kusari came as not much of a surprise. Ichigaya's energy cells are the result of Nomad research, there's no denial such matters bear risks. However, they made a recent attempt on my life together with the LSF. Unforgivable. (Last Edit: 835)
Bristol Manufacturing - A small time corporation using the uncertain times in Galileo to sneak away with - by house corporate standards - small amounts of Platinum. They do not seem interested in taking a side and it is their good right to simply not get involved. I like the design of this ship they developed together with Kress Shipbuilding. (Last Edit: 834)
Interspace Commence - Bankers. What's there to say? (Last Edit: 830)
Orbital Spa and Cruise - I took a vacation on Curacao once, it was very pleasant. (Last Edit: 830)
The Outcasts - I count an Outcast my friend for many years now. But that is solely because her view on Cardamine differs vastly from most of Malta. Cardamine is a poison flooding the houses with just one intention: Generating wealth for the Outcasts and promoting crime in the houses as a vicious cycle. It should be broken by giving Malta the Leeds treatment. (Last Edit: 833)
The Corsairs - Easily the most annoying bunch of them all. Corsairs are both simpletons yet well armed. Plundering is in their blood and they remain a thorn in our sides. They tried to kill me a few times and even wrote out bounties on my head but were literally too easily fooled. On the one hand, hilarious, on the other hand.. sigh. (Last Edit: 834)
Intended long-term plan: Live a good life, not just for myself.
