NAVAL DEMANDS FOR THE VOLKSREVOLUTION
As the conflicts across the region intensified, the Hessian movement faced a growing logistical dilemma. The Wolfsburg Shipyard, long the backbone of their fleet’s maintenance, had reached its limits. Strategic planners concluded that Wolfsburg would need to be fully specialized, dedicating its facilities exclusively to the servicing of the largest vessels in the Hessian arsenal, ships of the size of the Vidar and Jormugandr. Any vessel smaller than that would have to be redirected elsewhere.

On paper, the solution seemed simple, any Hessian base or station could potentially be expanded to fill the gap. In practice, however, the reality was far more complicated. Establishing a new shipyard meant redirecting existing supply routes, restructuring logistics, and securing steady streams of raw materials and industrial components. Such changes risked destabilizing the carefully balanced network that sustained Hessian operations across the region. It was, in every sense, a logistical nightmare, there was only one place that stood apart from the rest. Diamant.

Located deep within the heart of Hessian-controlled territory, the station already possessed several critical advantages. Its massive cargo bays were capable of storing vast quantities of raw materials, while the surrounding asteroid belt provided a near-endless supply of resources waiting to be extracted. Just as importantly, Diamant had already grown into a thriving trading hub, attracting merchants, freelancers, and allies from across Sirius. Most of the infrastructure needed to support a shipyard already existed. The only thing Diamant lacked was the shipyard itself. And so the conclusion became unavoidable. If the Hessians were to expand their industrial strength without crippling their logistics, Diamant would have to become more than a mining and trade station, it would have to become a forge for ships.

The schematics themselves were derived from Insurgent engineering systems originally brought by Tartarus. These designs had already proven their resilience in harsh conditions, tested, modified, and hardened through years of irregular warfare and improvised logistics. What began as a collection of adaptable insurgent infrastructure was subsequently re-engineered by Hessian specialists, refining the systems to meet their own operational doctrines and industrial standards.

The resulting design was neither purely Tartarus nor purely Hessian, but a hybrid born of necessity: robust, modular, and capable of operating far from centralized shipyard infrastructure. If brought to life, the Diamant shipyard module would serve a dual purpose. First, it would relieve the growing strain placed upon Wolfsburg Shipyard, whose facilities had become increasingly occupied with the servicing and construction of heavier vessels such as the Vidar and Jormungandr. Second, the installation would grant the Hessian movement a long-sought capability: independent production and maintenance of vessels outside the Asgard production line, such autonomy was no small matter.

With a functioning drydock attached to Diamant, the station would transform from a mere logistical hub into a fully operational industrial node, capable of assembling lighter combat vessels, refitting raiders, and servicing irregular fleets operating throughout the Omega systems. In practical terms, the project represented more than infrastructure, it represented industrial independence in deep space.
