Esteemed readers,

We have received numerous requests for comment on these recent developments, and are thus releasing the following statement.
This is the stance of Ionic Incorporated and does not reflect the position of our parent company, Kishiro Technologies, in a legal context, but can be taken as general information related to the incidents surrounding hyperspace technology.

By every analysis we have conducted, all devices capable of hyperspace manipulation, that is, both beacon emitters which allow connectivity via hyperspace, and "jump" devices that allow travel via hyperspace, use proprietary Kishiro components. No other parties have thus far manufactured devices independently that are not to some degree reliant on our restricted technical components.

It is thus the company stance that any use of hyperspace manipulation devices is either explicitly sanctioned by Kishiro Technologies, or represents illicit use of our intellectual property.
We will be taking appropriate measures that dangerous, unsanctioned use of these devices does not spread further, and the Empire of Kusari has our full backing in the enforcement thereof, against the Republic of Liberty or otherwise. We also wish to remind potential users that hyperspace manipulation carried out with unsafe knock-off devices bears extreme dangers to the users and we strongly urge against it, even disregarding the legal implications.
