Nah, moreso that creating a crash course in regular Ageira tech is a really long process, because, as mentioned before, we tend to consider most of this common knowledge, so I have to guess and take pot shots at what I think you know and don't know.

Right, surveying. You've got two kinds, passive and active. Passive surveying is done by jump gates themselves, they regularly send pings through the Jumpnet, that sub-dimension that all Ageira tech runs on, and pick them up at other Jump Gates, scouting viable corridors to build new Jump Gates. Infinite money glitch, only resource really spent is time. Active surveying is done by two teams, one in the target system and one in the origin system, and sending a slightly stronger version of that sub-dimension ping that can make it through the weak gravitational anomalies that make the beginnings of Jump Holes. The time and cost of active surveying was about half of the damage done by the Galileo Bypass scandal that really got the Lane Hackers started in the north.

The safety of Ageira's tech is the resilience of the Jumpnet. It takes an entirely unknown amount of power to do any kind of damage to the Jumpnet. That's why the Pulse was completely unexpected, completely unprecedented, and completely crippling. The Jumpnet doesn't get damaged, ever. It can react and do damage to you, but the Jumpnet itself doesn't care, it's too strong to be significantly changed. Kishiro's tech isn't safe. I don't think it uses the Jumpnet at all, I think it punches holes in real space. It should have honestly ripped reality apart when it was first tested.

The targeting function is an analogue computational system, which means there's uncountably infinite targets. Which is alright, it's any point in real space. Except it isn't, the function for displacement from point equals zero to point equals thirty-four only has six valid non-zero locations. If you want to move thirty-four unit-of-distance per corresponding-unit-of-energy-input, there are only six valid targets out of infinity that don't land you in the exact same point you leave, but still land you entirely in real space. Every other position on the line is in a space that is defined mathematically as a combination of real, valid space and "square root of negative one" space. I'm not sure how connecting our reality to an impossible, non-existent reality didn't end reality as we know it, but Kishiro's tech is decisively not safe in a "connecting two different laws of physics and ending fundamental forces like gravity and the nuclear force as these two different realities cohabitate" way.

I haven't gotten anything from Kishiro contacts. If you release all the Jump Drive files, most of your phone calls from "Kishiro rebel who wants to give you Jump Drive information" are actually KOI agents that want to disappear you for good. I haven't picked up the phone very much, ya see?

If you want an Ageira survey vessel, which, well, I'm not sure why you would. It's incredibly expensive, and once you plot your gravitational anomalies, you still need to build two Jump Gates connecting them, which isn't exactly cheap either. We here at the Inner Circle often kick around the idea of building Lanes and Gates for our allies, but we don't have allies that want to pay the costs of building them in the first place, let alone the constant maintenance. We could probably catch a survey vessel, though, but again, it'd pretty damn useless outside of finding where you could build a Jump Gate if you had the capital, resources, and army necessary to do so.

Other than that, if I do get some information that isn't common knowledge and also isn't a necessity to keep secret, I'd happily let you know. As you might guess, price tags on Jump Drive intel have gotten a little high, but you sound like you've got some exotic things of your own, so I'm sure a bit of barter goes a long way.
