I am Fleet Admiral Marjorie Ward, and I speak on behalf of Task Force Prometheus.

You'll have surely noticed our forces rallying at Pinnacle — old things with burnt orange livery and flaming skulls, and with them all the doubt to your ranks they rightly bring. To many of you we are outsiders; former Navy, oathsworn to a state in the independent worlds that promised safety and justice for Liberty's people, including the autonomy of Erie, and collapsed upon itself from within. Half a decade later, what remains of us emerges from the barrier, having spent years under the patronage of the Technocracy — by all accounts a power interested in itself above all else.

It would be pantomime to ask for your trust. So I will not. Yet this fight is ours as well.

Our people — Legionnaires, Commonwealth citizens, men and women who believed in something and paid for it — were interned on Erie when the camps still had names we could put on a map. Those camps are closing now. Some are being relocated to Houston and Sugarland, and more still disappear every day. We are not here to grandstand or do political theater; it is the reason we are here, and it is the reason we cannot afford to move slowly.

What I will say plainly is this: we are a military, and we fight like one. We will not pretend otherwise, and we would not insult you by trying. What we bring to Pennsylvania is firepower, discipline, and experience bleeding the Republic — and we intend to use all of it. We did not crawl out of Inverness to watch from the sidelines. We came to fight. This is your war, and we are here to fight it with you. We know what happens when a standing military force and a coalition of cells try to share a battlefield without a word between them, and we have no interest in finding out firsthand. We will not ask you to fold into our structure. What we ask is a conversation before we move, and a point of contact to have it with. We know how to work that seam, and believe we can be stronger for it.

Effective immediately, Promethean vessels operating in the theater will be flying the colors of the Erie resistance. We are done operating from the margins.

We will not ask your trust. We will do what is needed to earn it.

Tell us where we're needed.

We will be what we have always been.
