What have you done to advance your faction’s goals this quarter?
There wasn't much to do in terms of activity for a Liberty Navy faction during the largest course of this quarter, but we've tried to keep an acceptable ingame presence by either logging on to roleplay or logging on to PVP/PVE. In the late stages of the quarter, the unfolding story developments spurred us back into regular activity. We are responding to and participating in the ongoing events and transmissions, and eagerly await finding out what these developments will lead to.
What are your faction’s goals for the next quarter?
We have a few goals in place for the next quarter.
- Begin forum and in-game role play surrounding the LNS-Normandy, and her soon-to-be sister ships of the newly commissioned Memphis-class variant of the Osiris.
- Start an official faction event focused on bringing materials to Juneau Shipyard in order to complete construction of the Akhetaten-class currently being built there. The newly built LNS Horus (name may be subject to change) will be deployed to the Galileo jumpgate in Colorado to reinforce Battlegroup Ohio. As far as we know, a similar event will take place on [LN]'s side to reactivate the LNS Minneapolis.
- Include ourselves in roleplay regarding the tensions between Liberty and Kusari, as well as take part (or maybe even host) events between the two Houses that will spur activity and provide further fuel towards future development arcs.
- Possibly send orders to TFA to infiltrate Kusari, something which will spur activity in the region. We might even create events based around that with the help of @Lobster.
What have you done to drive activity and promote high quality roleplay this quarter?
I don't think we've done something specific to promote high quality roleplay. I believe that our roleplay as 46th has always been - ever since the faction got overhauled - high quality, and we continuously strive to provide a proper Navy experience to those around us, with or without faction activity reports. Regarding activity, there isn't much we could do for the longer part of this quarter besides simply logging on to do some roleplay between us and hope someone else shows up, head to Magellan to shoot some NPCs, or even log on in reaction to an existing gathering. The only way we've tried to actively drive activity is with Task Force Akhetaten's involvement in various story events - including the Battleship Atum's escapade into Coronado - as well as with their deployment into Coronado and Inverness. However, that hasn't resulted in the level of activity we had hoped for, as those arcs have so far led nowhere.
How would you like your NPC faction’s story to be developed moving forward?
We are not against the Kusari war as it provides the server and particularly our House with activity, as well as opens doors for us to provide Task Force Akhetaten with more things to do outside Liberty space. That being said, the rest of the faction will simply have to wait for developments to unfold and see where they lead us. Until then, we simply participate in the ongoing activities. Aside from the developments already being made, we would like it if the story team decided to push the Liberty Navy towards areas that the Government gave up on; with the "recent" establishment of Task Force Prometheus as well as the events that have occurred between the ancient alien facilities in Coronado and Ontario it would make sense for the Liberty Navy to be sent to gather recon, investigate and perhaps plan surgical strikes in the Vespucci, Ontario, Inverness and Coronado systems. This is the roleplay arc that Task Force Akhetaten has been chasing for a while now, to no avail. Lastly, with the upcoming summit drawing near and Bretonia likely to request support from the Liberty Navy, now is the best time for some story development involving a number of Navy assets moving into Coronado. This can serve not only as an arc of Liberty deploying assets closer to Bretonia in their defense, but also as Liberty regaining some control over the region with the help of the Crayter Republic.
What roleplay, events, or activities have you done this quarter to promote this development?
We've not participated in anything large scale this quarter, if we exclude the Atum event. Our efforts to revive activity and chase after the aforementioned story arcs began long before this quarter and have been at a stalemate ever since. That does not mean that we have given up on them. We will continue to chase after story arcs that might lead us into activity. At the current time, this means allocating our resources to the situation with Kusari and deploying our forces to Colorado and Galileo in hopes of finding activity.
