What have you done to advance your faction’s goals this quarter?
Collaborated with our allies in the defence of Dublin and the maintenance of Connacht, our faction's capitol. With the intent to move towards greater collaboration in logistics between ourselves, the Coalition, the Red Hessians and our faction assets.
Engaged in roleplay around the ransom of a Cryer Scientist in order to potentially gain access to a bacterial contagion, which could be used to escalate terrorist activities around Carlisle.[1]
Opposed the operations of the CDI, engaged them in conflicts of interest and collaborated when their interests aligned.[1][2]
What are your faction’s goals for the next quarter?
Update and return to advancing the goals of our Path of Life initiative, with new additions involving the acquisition of, refitting, deployment(s), and objectives of our FoB. With a focus on supplying the movement and alleviating tension on Dublin's frontline.
Move our FoB from one system to another, at least once. Roleplaying the before, during and after of it's operations. Goal is to use the FoB to rotate activities between regions, depending on the flavour of the month. Omega-3 is likely to be our first target, focussing on operations around Sprague.
Get Connacht to Core 5, as to advance the station's story, expand it's productive opportunities and potentially reduce the amount of time our faction feels indebted to spend on the PoB. Enabling that time to be spent elsewhere doing other things.
Otherwise continue operations in the Founder's Field.
What have you done to drive activity and promote high quality roleplay this quarter?
Restarted Molly Mondays, for better or worse. Utilised this time so far to engage in smuggling operations and fight some Lawfuls.
Encouraged restraint and a less PvP centric approach to encounters, reserving Discord Emergency pings for 'the big battles'. This might not have the intended effect we're seeking, as it forgoes numbers of players for a hit-or-miss attempt at quality roleplay moment.
One of our player characters, Jo Mc'de, allowed himself to be captured by the CDI during the events of the Eric Moore ransom. This wasn't pre-planned, he just trusted everyone involved to steer that story through. This enabled CDI to have a bargaining chip in the negotiation of Eric Moore's release.
Involved the Freelancer duo behind the Gaelic Wyvern Inn, to serve as a neutral party between ourselves and CDI for the purposes of a prisoner exchange.
We actively maintain a player base in-line with the operations of the faction we represent. We routinely provide activity in the region through Gold Mining, base supply runs and the smuggling of Wildcat Gold, of which we are the primary producer. Connacht Depot provides an honest wage, for honest work, ensuring that every man who throws in his lot is paid a fair due for his labour.
In accordance to Connacht and our frequent presence in the Dublin system, we often roleplay with, hire and build relationships with Freelancer individuals and groups. Many of which find themselves working for us one way or another, with the opportunity for exclusive rewards.[1][2]
How would you like your NPC faction’s story to be developed moving forward?
Sprague is a powder keg. We want to light it. Molly atmo point?
Address the cost that Mull and Lisburn have paid on a fool's errand to keep Dublin from the Crown, and see growth in both station's identities as exclaves lending their aid 'to sustain their new state'.
Attacks on other corporate stations and assets. Infrastructure denial. Being a general thorn in the side of lawful elements, win or lose.
Expansion/Expeditions into Omega-49. It's a backdoor that the movement has desperately needed, it may prove the only way out if the unthinkable happens. Garvagh MkII? Would like to explore how the Mollys and Zoners get along. Both want to be free of the Houses, however their methods differ.
What roleplay, events, or activities have you done this quarter to promote this development?
I've been struggling to allot time for the forum legwork to advance many of these areas of development and I've few active forum-centric players in my faction at the moment, just the way it be. It's a work in progress. Still picking up the pieces from Luminium's & Dragoon's departure.
We log in (often not all at once due to time zones), we roleplay, we supply the movement, we fight anyone looking for a fight.
Molly Monday is a pre-arranged 'activities' day to try to get Mollys on. It's been slow-going in it's revival and may not survive due to being a Monday, but we'll see how it goes.
