Name of Faction: Gas Miners Guild Name of Faction Leader: Mephistoles Number of Active Players this Quarter: 5
What have you done to advance your faction’s goals this quarter?
A modest but encouraging return to some activity following the second wind afforded by the reversal of making some factions unofficial on the last check. Helium-3 mining operations in Sigma-13, producing H-fuel with Iejima, and some trade convoys. Sufficient ingame activity for the quarter.

An illegal base built in Sigma-17. Some communication between GMG and the builders, and some fights over it in the game as GMG enforced its laws. Potentially being turned around from hostilities to friendship over a joint hate of Corsairs.
What are your faction’s goals for the next quarter?
Continue activity, mining, trading and law enforcement. Springboard off the illegal base roleplay above, turn the situation around and explore the potential for harming the Corsairs in Omicron Theta in conjunction with Core, and will approach some Zoners for the same following the Core players' positive response.
What have you done to drive activity and promote high quality roleplay this quarter?
The answer to this is effectively same as that to the first question. GMG|'s gameplay and roleplay has always generally been high quality.
How would you like your NPC faction’s story to be developed moving forward?
The war with Rheinland is long over and official hostilities between GMG and the house authorities need to go to bed. The evidence I was shown as used for GMG being added as banned in Rheinland laws a few months ago was all for actions occurring outside of house space. At the time, the server rules explicitly prevented houses enforcing roleplay consequences inside house space for things that happened outside of house space. The law change was applied in complete contradiction to the established rules at the time and should never have been implemented. Both the request and its success are extremely questionable. Let any conflict be expressed with corporate warfare, why does everything need to be Bismarcks vs bombers all the time?
Otherwise, maybe a focus on the ship registry and the issue of the Corsair takeover of Freeport 9.
What roleplay, events, or activities have you done this quarter to promote this development?
Little for now, this is only a recent return to much activity and is projected for a much better answer for the next check. Mostly the idea put to the Core of messing with the Corsairs. I would hope this check be successfully passed with a view to a more comprehensive activity report next quarter. After all, a faction is better than no faction.
