Akabat Summit

The shuttle ride the Akabat's surface and King's Landing was quiet and short. Soon after landing the repersentives from each faction were shown to a ground transport that shuttled them to the Giza Military Command. The Order base was a sprawling area of an ever increasing perimeter wall with defensive turrets and checkpoints. In a wide radius fighter craft and Hathors remain on constant patrol. Half of Giza was dedicated to production and manufacturing of weaponry, such as the fabled Kemwer technologies. Factories and warehouses line the edge of Tucker Ridge, protected by the natural wall. A quarter of the remaining area was a sprawling airfield of fighter craft and gunships, all of them part of the major defensive fleet that protects King's Landing, the major space port of Akabat.

The last quarter was dedicated to the Overwatch. A sprawling network of administrative buildings and command outposts were set up. While planetary defense headquarters, Hierlark, to the north, within the halls of Giza, stark dark grey corridors lead to consistently manned checkpoints to combat infestation and infiltration. The meeting rooms all have outfitted with standard Order counter-espionage defenses. Which is to say, overkill. Meeting rooms - even when not in use - are swept hourly for bugs and other forms of equipment, and a fresh sweep is done before and after meetings. There are no meeting rooms with windows. Every meeting room is deep down below the surface for extra layers of protection. The only decorations are ones that the Overwatch themselves decide. It is spartan, uniform, and protected.

Each representative group was given their own private rooms and a place in which to convene before the summit began in the coming hours. Each room was comfortable and was a clone of the next, refreshments where made available and surprisingly diverse in Origin, from Liberty ale to Gallic wine, everything seemed to be on hand.

The illusion of hospitality did little to mask the intent behind it. Every chair was placed with precision, every table centered as if measured by instrument rather than eye. Even the refreshments, varied as they were, felt curated not for comfort, but for observation. Who reached for what, who abstained, who partook too quickly—nothing here escaped notice.

Order personnel moved through the corridors. Conversations among them were sparse and clipped, often reduced to gestures or brief coded phrases. Their presence was constant, yet never intrusive. Marines stood at every junction, armored and motionless, their visors concealing any hint of scrutiny while somehow amplifying the sense of being watched.

As the appointed hour approached, subtle signals began to ripple through the complex. Lights dimmed fractionally in the corridors, shifting to a cooler hue. Checkpoints doubled their personnel. Patrol routes tightened. The facility itself seemed to draw inward.

One by one, representatives were summoned.

Escorted through the labyrinthine halls of the Overwatch HQ, each group was guided downward, deeper into the reinforced heart of Giza. The air grew cooler, the walls thicker, the silence heavier. Whatever openness the summit was meant to project above ground was stripped away with every descending level.

At last, they arrived.

The primary conference chamber was vast, though designed to feel anything but. Mutable squire tables were already set up in a "U" shape with each representatives' faction insignia was attached to the front of each representative's assigned table. Oddly enough each insignia looked to have been taken from a base of each faction instead of reproduced. no position elevated above another, at least in appearance. The walls were bare, save for embedded systems whose purposes were not immediately clear. The far wall held the insignia of the Overwatch.

At the far end of the Chamber stood a few figures, Admiral Michal Golanski, Admiral Xander Parothia "Solandros" and Admiral Jeremy Hunter along with a few Colonels.

The doors sealed shut behind the last of the delegates with a low, final tone. Whatever was to be decided here would not leave this room easily.
