The conquest of Zeta saw the Lightmind with excess leeway in their activities. While a mass movement from the Great Sphere was still minimally feasible, a test of their strength was issued. The evasiveness of their enemy proved to outlast their will to continue hunting, and striking at their more fortified positions again was calculated to be too expensive an endeavor.
This left the Light with a choice, to direct their additional strength towards Rheinland, and the battlefront in the Omegas and Rheinland, or towards Kusari, to drive the Houses to war. This choice was made for them, as humanity is prone to war regardless of outside influence, and Kusari teeters on the brink of war at this moment. This knowledge informed their next move, to grasp at that which provides a lifeblood for the colonies. The Order must choose whether to strike at Kusari, and leave the Sigmas to their mercy, to strike at them, and leave Kusari untouched, or to split their forces, weakening any strike they seek to make. Unbeknownst to the Light, however, the stewards of that lifeblood had linked arms with others, marching out to combat the Corsairs, and should the Core take more foothold in Omicron Theta, the Cruiser Mafdet would come under threat as well.
Commanded to veil itself and proceed unseen through the Outcast homeworlds into the Crow Nebula, Hegirnunna, the Maiden of Lofty Processions, an experimental form of the Ishtar shell, slunk into the Sigma systems with her cohort. Silently, it waits for its moment to feast on the blood of Sirius. To pose the unanswerable question. To make sacrifice, whether of itself or its enemies.
