Following the murder of Admiral Goro Okamoto, an inter-service command centre has been established the coordinate the investigation.

Findings and recovered evidence are to be reported to the command centre for analysis. Outstanding avenues of enquiry will be listed here for assignment.

Establish a motive

Many had a reason to see Admiral Okamoto dead. Eliminate or add suspects as evidence supports.

❀ Bretonian radicals: The Matsumoto was part of the spear-tip that breached Leeds in 816 AS. A Bretonian blade was found at the scene.
❀ Golden Chrysanthemums: Admiral Okamoto recently commanded the Matsumoto in vanquishing the GC Battleship Matsuda.
❀ Blood Dragons: Admiral Okamoto was a high profile target, with no further motive needed should an opportunity have presented.
❀ Gallia: Admiral Okamoto commanded the northern flank of our invasion, including the Desolation of Lorraine during the retreat.
❀ Kusari insiders: Individuals within the state who believe they will materially or monetarily benefit from a war with Liberty.

❀ The Order: Repeated strikes against Ichigaya Drydock and personnel stationed at The Arch painted a target on the Matsumoto and the Admiral.

PROGRESSING - Tracing the assailants

It is vital that the movements of the assassins are traced, to enable their apprehension. These men may be mercenaries, or members of a hostile organisation.

❀ The pedestrian gate was accessed at 22:01 and again at 22:06 local Tokyo time.
❀ Three intruders were recorded by the property's CCTV at Admiral Okamoto's estate.
❀ Their movements may have been recorded by municipal or commercial CCTV, or local datanets.
❀ One assailant identified as Frank Ortega. Liberty ID, since departed the planet for Aomori Station.

Tracing Lieutenant Commander Hyuuma Okazaki

Lieutenant Commander Hyuuma Okazaki served in the Naval Forces during and prior to the Tau War. Operated the fighter Tsumi. Service number: I022153C.

❀ He possessed elevated security credentials as the leader of Admiral Okamoto's personal protective detail.
❀ During The Exile, he was assigned to special reconnisence missions in Tau-29.
❀ Records have been lost, but he was believed KIA in 825 AS, likely skirmishing with Republic forces.
❀ Due to the considerable disorder of the period, his credentials were not rescinded.
❀ Attempt to learn Okazaki's fate, and how the assassins gained access to his credentials.
