I don't agree. I don't intend to open that can of worms here, but when a certain ultumatum was given and refused, it was implied that we would not accept dictation from any non-democratic council that neither we nor indipendant representatives are involved in.
It was discussed, at the time, and settled upon that as the Benitez familia where not given an opportunity to participate in the Council currently "in command", executive power over Benitez policy would shift to the Council of Benitez Elders. If you wanted to be able to tell us what we could and could not do, you should have involved us.
To put it simply, our decisions are as official as our clan is; ie. equally as official as decisions made by TBH, and more official than decisions made by OPG (given that we are a system-owning faction).
In the next mod release we will have equipment-selling bases in our system, under our control and absolute jurisdiction which will further prevent any claims that we do not have the right to export our arms.
If it is deemed that the JG using Corsair weapons is unacceptable by Server standards, fine, but I do not accept that TBH and OPG actions should be deemed legitimate while Benitez actions should not.
Aside from this...I'd like to bear whitness for the Jupiter Guild. I have known the majority of these people for over 3 years. They are some of the friendliest and most honourable people I have encountered on freelancer.
They mark themselves Mercenaries rather than Bounty Hunters because (as far as I am aware of) they'd much rather go and escort a friendly Cargo Train than hunt down random people on contracts.
The Jupiter Guild was created when 3 significant mercenary clans on an old non-RP vanilla server (Vero's old home) merged. Because they began on a Non-RP server, they may have had to adjust to being an RP clan, and perhaps that adjustment is not yet complete, but they're trying their best.
The trade-wing exists (as far as I am aware) because the guys like escorting Traders, and sometimes there aren't any around, so they escort their own trains. I can't see what's wrong with that.
