I wish to submit a troubling incident and urge the NOH and KOI command, who received read-only access to this message, to revalidate their operational approach.
The KOI Asset, IKN-Komori, a standard Ashikaga-class, was lingering near the Shikoku Gate in the Galileo system, stopping and then interrogating a Cryer vessel, Mag.Papazov, a Titanic-class. I left the scene for a routine sweep across Galileo, which I cut short to inquiry whether the KOI asset would mind joining up with me.
Upon my return to the scene, the KOI Asset was in the progress of destroying the Cryer vessel. Upon inquiry, they stated the vessel was carrying the murderers of Kaigun Gensui Okamoto and the Cryer Captain refused to hand them over. An accusation denied by the civilian vessel.
I threatened to step in to defuse the situation, which prompted the KOI to attack me too. Persistence and a natural coordination between the Cryer vessel and myself resulted in the KOI vessel fleeing heavily damaged. The Cryer Captain was very cooperative and revealed they were doing some friends a favor, hence the unusual concept of a Cryer vessel taking in passengers.
I understand that there's a distinct nervousness and urgency tied to the ongoing investigations but such operational approaches are a liability. Firstly, if the assailants were indeed on the ship, there would now be nobody left to interrogate. Secondly, the mere accusation is strange to make. The Cryer vessel successfully was granted passage through the KSP checkpoint, whom to my knowledge were put on high alert themselves around the same time the KOI confirmed the demise of Okamoto-sama. Thirdly, attacking a Libertorian merchant vessel over mere hysterical suspicions just promotes a further escalation of the situation.
I have served many years under the battlegroups led by Okamoto-sama and I wish for nothing more than bloody justice upon those that murdered him in cold blood but I will not stand for cruelty against random uninvolved civilians over a mere hunch. Either you lecture the Asset properly or I will ensure you that they'll not become a liability to the investigation and the Empire.
[22.04.836 17:09:52] Mag.Papazov: Will do
[22.04.836 17:10:18] IKN-Komori: Ki: Where are you taking those Kusari passengers in... such questionable means?
[22.04.836 17:13:58] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Huh.
[22.04.836 17:14:06] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: That.. escalated?
[22.04.836 17:14:12] Mag.Papazov: i have no idea why officer
[22.04.836 17:14:29] IKN-Komori: Ki: One of the people accused of murder of our Admiral is on this ship.
[22.04.83617:14:36] Mag.Papazov: No not really
[22.04.836 17:14:40] IKN-Komori: Ki: Captain failed to hand him over.
[22.04.836 17:14:45] Mag.Papazov: You have no proof
[22.04.836 17:14:50] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: That.. sounds dubious.
[22.04.836 17:15:01] IKN-Komori: Ki: You dare to question KOI, citizen?!
[22.04.836 17:15:24] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: *She sighs* If you're playing the arrogant KOI card on me, I'll take you down and detain this vessel both in one go.
[22.04.836 17:15:32] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Have it your stubborn ass way.
[22.04.836 17:15:52] IKN-Komori: Ki: No witnesses, then.
[22.04.836 17:16:07] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: You'll stick around, Cryer vessel.
[22.04.836 17:16:12] Mag.Papazov: will do
[22.04.836 17:24:36] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Are you really certain, Agent.
[22.04.836 17:24:40] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: That this is worth it?
[22.04.836 17:25:27] Mag.Papazov: Phew
[22.04.836 17:25:37] Mag.Papazov: Thank you for the assistance
[22.04.836 17:25:50] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: They're losing their minds. There's no credible hints that the assailants aim for Liberty and especially not via transports
[22.04.836 17:25:55] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: passing by the KSP checkpoints.
[22.04.836 17:26:15] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: This was luck. Decent aim right there, Captain.
[22.04.836 17:26:26] Mag.Papazov: I am way too busy at work to care for the conflicts to be completly fair
[22.04.836 17:26:33] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Expectedly so.
[22.04.836 17:26:36] Mag.Papazov: I am working with everyone who wishes good on human kind
[22.04.836 17:26:53] Mag.Papazov: But taking a day off helping my kusarian friends to to omegas was a "fun"ride
[22.04.836 17:27:17] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: To the Omegas? Where precisely, if I may ask.
[22.04.836 17:27:25] Mag.Papazov: Omega 7
[22.04.836 17:27:46] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: To the Independent Miner Guild? Curious but well, I guess.
[22.04.836 17:27:47] Mag.Papazov: Kusarian friend of mine landed a gig on silver mining operation there
[22.04.836 17:28:10] Mag.Papazov: Also there seems to be neutron star somewhere deep in there they wanna visit on their days off
[22.04.836 17:28:43] Mag.Papazov: I belive he landed a Miners guild gig yea,but i didnt ask much i dont wanna be annoying
[22.04.836 17:29:00] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Hmm.
[22.04.836 17:29:37] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Did you explain this to the KOI vessel too?
[22.04.836 17:29:45] Mag.Papazov: Yes yes i did
[22.04.836 17:30:10] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Mmh, got a feeling I know why they've been so paranoid. Omegas are a buzzword for some of these intel spooks, doesn't -
[22.04.836 17:30:12] Mag.Papazov: He just asked me to drop the pods or he/she will fire with no explanation whatsoever
[22.04.836 17:30:14] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: matter from which house.
[22.04.836 17:30:32] Mag.Papazov: i was stunned a bit but ive been in my share of dog fights over the years with liberty outcast and xenos
[22.04.836 17:31:00] Mag.Papazov: Well indeed omegas are interesting place i often pass there on my way to research facilities in omnicrons
[22.04.836 17:31:02] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: I suggest you leave for Liberty at your earliest convenience. Tensions are higher than ever since the Admiral -
[22.04.836 17:31:08] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: got murdered.
[22.04.836 17:31:13] Mag.Papazov: Yea...ive read the news
[22.04.836 17:31:40] Mag.Papazov: Its sad to see an alliance crack for such reasons i hope everything resolves peacefuly
[22.04.836 17:31:59] Mag.Papazov: Because to be fair ive seen some...very questionble stuff in the omnicrons
[22.04.836 17:32:12] Mag.Papazov: I have a feeling we might be facing bigger problems soon
[22.04.836 17:32:19] Mag.Papazov: or it might be just space sickness
[22.04.836 17:32:22] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: So the KOI is all antsy about it to the point some of them leash out on a mere suspicion..
[22.04.836 17:32:35] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Mmh, well. The Omicrons are.. fascinating and dangerous.
[22.04.836 17:32:49] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: As for the bigger problems, who knows.
[22.04.836 17:33:14] Mag.Papazov: I do understand the paranoia in the our KOI "friend"but i think he was a little bit too bloodthirsty
[22.04.836 17:33:16] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Let's not linger. I'll have fun explaining this to command and somehow not get a KOI target on my back now.
[22.04.836 17:33:25] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Hurry onwards, Captain.
[22.04.836 17:33:39] Mag.Papazov: If you need a backup with coms feel free to drop me a cordinates to send them
[22.04.836 17:33:50] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Hah, appreciated but it'll be fine from here onwards.
[22.04.836 17:34:00] Mag.Papazov: Have save patrol officer hopefully we see each other on a sake in some bars
[22.04.836 17:34:06] [KNF]Sk.Miyuki.Ishii: Hmm.
