I was about 30K from the nearest base, and was not impulsing towards it, but towards original destination, which was a JH to Kappa (wouldn't really save me at all, since there'd be no nearby bases after the jump). Only changed course after the shooting started.
There was really no demand to stop or enough time to both do that and type something in response for me. Admittedly, I do not type very fast, but still. Allowing me a couple minutes of impulse speed would not change the outcome in the slightest, I think. Didn't had any friends to back me up, too.

I suppose that is a valid cause. And as I mentioned, I don't mind the fact of me dying, but I would like to see more RP if possible. And I know it's possible because I had better interactions with your faction in the past.
