An Outcast Sabre, Simpson.Mason I think, was sending faint distress signals from the far edge of the Siniestre. Myself and a Hacker, whose name only displayed as [UNKNOWN_CONTACT], helped get him back to Malta in one piece.
When he landed, he explained that he had been hunting the spirits. I radioed Malta ground control to order a "containment crew".
Shortly afterward, the Harvesters that the Shadow Outcast Brigade was planning to attack moved into Omicron Beta. I joined up with the large force assembled to destroy them. Two of the machines are spare parts drifting through the Omicron Beta nebula, the other ran.
I would report the dealings with various renegade Outcasts, but others more qualified to describe the events were there. I kept falling behind because of apparently-conflicting information.
Kuun-Lan... for a hunter, he's quite a coward. Kept running from us, and while I was waiting outside the Sigma-17/Sigma-13 jump hole, he came through and blew up my ship. Quite a feat, taking out a lone light fighter in a battleship. Most captains of such ships can't aim well enough to even hit other capital ships, nevermind a Scimitar.
Now, Tiana has procured a new target for me to test my guns on. Some Corsair she captured. Didn't know she flew a Sabre... and I'd love to know where she's keeping it. Ishida out.
A pause, then you hear a neutron gun charging up... A weak voice: Oh god what are you- A distinct sound is heard, a neutron blast. Then another distinct sound, a very loud scream of pain and terror. Possibly loud enough to damage older sound systems. A female voice: Mm... took his arm right off. Looks like you got the focusing system right. Now let's try the wide-angle beam. Ayumu: Hold on, my comm system is still on. Ayumu Ishida has left the channel.
