not competitors, really.

ALG gets hired by others (Rheinland government, the GMG, etc.) to clean up messes in space. Junkers clean up those messes for free, while the ALG are paid a 'salary' as long as the cleaning is being done.

Basically, junkers help the ALG out for free, and we make their clean-up operations go a lot faster so they get paid more in the end.
