Dragon's Bane

"...twisted..."

I shook my head as I reached the control room. Joshua was there and with him was Kasumi and Gabs. Both looked shooken up, but otherwise alright.

"...evil..."

"Shut up!" I screamed. The implants went haywire and started scanning everything in the room. They went into overstimulate mode and my eyes turned fully glowing blue, alanyzing everything in the room from plants, to the dust on the floor. I closed my eyes, focused, and shut them off. As soon as they went off it felt like my body gave out from under me.

Joshua caught me just before I hit the floor. I breathed a sigh of relief as he laid me gently down to the floor. The necklace tinkeled in my pocket and the implants came back on in full swing. I screamed and stood up, pacing the control room.

"What's the matter?" Joshua asked with a sideways glance.

"This...f***in' necklace...is screwing with my implants." I replied.

"Necklace?" he asked. I took out the necklace and showed him. It sparkeled in the light of the room. He reached out to touch it just as the station shook again and more KNF arrived through the docking platform. I took the necklace and instinctivly threw it over my neck. Once again the implants went into overstimulate mode and began to scan everything within range. Including the speed of the attackers, the way the lifesupport systems were blowing the air in the room, and how tall each attacker was. As soon as they reached me, they didn't stand a chance. I had taken Leo's old plasma blades out just before we left Kyoto, and it looked like it was for good use.

I turned them on just as the first attacker lept for Kasumi, but he didn't have a chance to begin with. I throttled him through the chest with the first plasma blade and watched as a look of suprise caught his face, the second blade freed his head from his shoulders. As the other attacker reached the room, she went straight for me, which was her biggest mistake. The implants showed me that she had a weak knee, and I capatalized on that weakness. I expertly kicked my right foot out and kicked her in the side of her knee. She yelped in suprise and then the blade caught her through the face. She slumped into a bloody mess on the floor.

Gabs puked, Kasumi looked like she might as well, and Joshua stood in awe. I was panting as the implants kicked off again and I fell to my hands and knees. The necklace on my chest was burning red hot as I took it off and threw it to the floor.

"Get us out of here Joshua, before more show up..." I fell to the floor, out like a light.
