Fearing the defamation of his crew, the sub-commander of the Battleship Talos has personally requested that I register the ancient warship here to avoid any misunderstandings, now that registration has been officially ratified by the Council and is considered law.

The Battleship Talos is an early model Osiris class vessel, constructed at Tripoli Shipyard, requisitioned by one of my predecessors, long before my tenure as Commandante. The Talos record speaks for itself; it's purpose and mission can be testified by the generations of Cretian people who have gazed into the skies, and felt safe under it's slender shadow.
The Talos, the giant mechanical defender of Crete, has been maintained by the Benitez familia for generations, and has received a total of 8 upgrades to it's armour plating since it was requisitioned by my predecessor.
With the dispatch of the Battleship Delos to guard our operations in Omicron 94, the Talos' primary objective continues to be the unwavering defence of the Corsair homeworld from enemy behemoths.

The Talos was our first battleship, one of the Osiris class Battleships constructed at Triploli with the assistance of the Order. The Talos has, for many years, been the guardian of Planet Crete, aligned to it's mythical namesake. The Talos has only once been deployed in an offensive strike, and for the most part, is purely for the defence of our home world. The command of the Talos is not constant, and can change depending on which pilots are deployed. The Supreme Commander of the Talos is the Commandante of the Benitez family.

With the dispatch of the Battleship Delos to Omicron 94, and the construction operations there, the decision has been made to decommission a number of our vessels.
The Corsair Cruiser; Cronus, very occasionally seen under my command, is to be dismantled at Tripoli Shipyard shortly after this message is recieved.
The fate of the remaining Orthyran Cruisers is to be decided by their individual commanders.

Praetor Zavier Benitez is currently on long-term recon of nomad infested space beyond Delta, with the Dreadnought Promtheus, the command of which will be reviewed following the completion of his mission.
Upon Zavier's return, the fate of the Atlas Cruiser will also be assessed.

The Bureau will be kept appraised regarding the fate of the Corsair Cruiser Rhea.
