Hey, who's "we"?

Well, surprisingly, independent outcasts. Since factionalised ones (except the {SOB} because they were not around before the registration) do not have to register.

Better coordination with the factions?
Improves the quality of roleplay ?
No more rank conflicts between indies and factions?

I like your number one reason, however what if everyone knows you fly that ship, and has contact details for you.

First and most important is to get them to join the forums, and maybe get them to read the rules. Since you were in Alpha today Nooblet you saw the numbers, 3 destroyers in there, 2 of which have no idea we have forums. Let alone the server rules.

Second is to keep track of produced ships, we are the military, so we should know what there is, who built it, who is commanding it, and where is it stationed.

No powerplay, ego or flexing. Powerplay is when an player in a destroyer comes to Alpha and claim he owns it. No one owns Alpha, so that is another thing we aim to stop.

And if they have joined the forums and read the rules?
You say three Destroyers there, and two of which had no idea about the forums? What about the third?

You should, and the details are available for you on the forum. Since you want to keep track of it you can find it. I can post a link if you want, since I am very kind.

So...ehm...how, exactly, are we supposed to enforce registration policies, if not by destroying noncompliant vessels? Are we going to fine them? Make them sit in a corner?

Perhaps, if the ship is not PVP-whoring/attempting to claim sole control of Malta/etc, you could leave them alone? Just perhaps?

The questions i would like to ask here are:
Is it so hard to register? And if it is, why is it hard?

Roleplay Requirements

A solid Roleplay for an Outcast Capital Ship should include all of the following:

• An acceptable interpretation of the Outcast military structure: That is to say, the Military is a separate and independent entity from the Dons and Cardamine plantations, and that the 101st, as the commander of Corsica Military Headquarters, has final say in most matters, particularly regarding capital ships, which only Corsica has the ability to produce and launch (see below).
  
• CAPITAL SHIPS ARE NOT TO BE AUTOMATED. They must have a significant crew complement, and automation must not be a major part of their function.
  
• 'Admiral' is not a suitable title for the captain of a single ship. 'Captain', 'Commander', or, if you must command a whole bloody Battlegroup 'Commodore' should be used.

Put shortly, the reasons listed above.

The 1st one is disproven by in-game RP.
The 2nd destroys everything my ship has and attacks the majority of ESS RP.
The 3rd, I have the rank of Vice-Admiral. I've earned it over time in my clan.

Why can I not change my RP? It was written before the 101st Capital Ship Registration, on the ESS forum and posted a day after the capital ship registration so that people would be aware of my ship.

I have not been sanctioned once by the way. Nor has my Destroyer been in any Liberty systems. Just thought you'd like to know. Want a linky to the RP?

I don't know if this has been said ... but I take cap ship registration as a means to contact the captain in case we need to get a hold of him. If you register on the forums, we can send you PMs and other things. In short, it gives the main factions some communication with the indies to work out disagreements so we don't work them out over the server, and have more time for RP.
