The space around New Berlin today is, to our surprise, straight and orderly. A bit too straight and orderly. This is due to the recent security precautions made by the Rheinland Military. The Rheinland Military has disabled the trade lanes closest to the planet so they could scan all incoming ships. The reason for this is the Bundschuh. Recently they have become extremely bold, their attacks extending into even the New Berlin system, and sightings in Stuttgart.

The threat of the Bundschuh peaked yesterday at the destruction of the Rheinland gunboat, Feuer. The gunboat is currently being refit at a shipyard, the name of which was not given to us. They also were assisted by a Phantom and almost caused the destruction of a Rheinland Military Battleship, commanded by Admiral Kreig. The Phantom left however, after the battleship was severely damaged. The remaining Bundschuh fighter, an Eagle remained to attack the battleship. But the engineers onboard the battleship fixed the shields and they were too powerful for the fighter's lone weaponry to penetrate. The fighter left into one of the asteroid belts in the system and has yet to be found.

Later, in a display of total insanity, it reappeared near New Berlin and attacked Admiral Krieg's battleship, which was assisted by a Bretonian battleship. The Bretonian battleship's shield was dropped halfway before the two ships repelled the fighter. It flew off in the direction of the asteroid field from before.

Earlier today a Rheinland cruiser, named Defiant, reported finding the Bundschuh's lone Eagle fighter in Frankfurt, though the whereabouts in the system remain unknown.
