DarkStar smiled. "Well, you'll have to be quick about it, won't you? And even if it does get away, we'll just have to think of another trap. I doubt it will be very hard. Since it does leave the bodies inside, I repeat my last of dressing warmly and carrying an oxygen mask. That way even if you fail you won't die."
He shrugged and walked away. "As I said, you have 24 hours to plan the boarding of whatever ship we catch."

DarkStar walked to the bridge. "I take it our... guests have arrived?"
The sensors officer stood. "Yes sir. Exactly as you predicted. We're picking up the Ableben, the Caedo, the Sigtryggr, the Leviathen, two Lottatore carriers, two boarding craft, and a slew of those fighters equipped with the sensor pods."
"My my..." DarkStar mused. "They really are making a serious attempt here. To bad we'll have to deny them that."

A ring of microscopic spy satalites, each about the size of a pea, littered the ring around Alpha Unknown's only star. They transmitted on a special band, that even if picked up would only display useless white noise. Unless, of course, one knew the pattern. Someone like an AI. An AI like Crystal Oni. The undetectible spy sats lay in wait, unblinking eyes looking in all directions. The massive AW fleet might not have known it, but they had been detected as soon as they started looking for the Phantoms. It didn't help that the Nomads were also keeping an eye on those same AW ships.

He walked over to the communications officer. "Open a tachyon channel, wave 14, encryption omega."
"Aye sir." The officer pressed keys on the console, and soon enough the screen read 'Link Established'
DarkStar leaned towards the mic. "You may begin at any time now."
A stange hissing came out... the Nomads vocal language. Although they mainly used telepathy to communicate, their spoken was just as hard to crack. The hissing has slight variations only highly trained people could hear, and their poetic way of speaking often hid subtle meanings. None of which is of any interest, at the moment.

Two things happened at once. One, Nomads started springing up from nowhere around the AW fleet. A huge number. Battleships, gunboats, fighters, unbeleivably gargantuan ammounts. The AW soon found themselfs on the deffensive as they were pummeled on all sides.

The second was a massive energy spike around the area of the Battlestar and the Spyglass. A rift in time and space opened up, a phenomina known to humans as a hypergate. The fighters docked with the larger ships in order to travel though. Anything less then a cruiser would be litteraly shaken to peices and ripped appart in hyperspace, and gunboats would take heavy damage. Thus, the two battleships slid forward and vanished from that plane of existance. Only to re-enter the plane at a different point.

The Nomads turned off the containments and the gate collapsed. Nothing could bring it back, and no trace was possible. The only things in Alpha Unknown now were the AW, the still unnoticed spy sats, and the ever growing number of Nomads drawn to the promise of dead humans.

DarkStar shook off the migrane that occompanied hypertransit. It was temporary, but anyone coming though spent at least a little time recovering from hopping planes. Both the Oblivion and the Hellbound now sat above the Nomad center of power in Sirius. It was the exact location as before, only this time the Nomads concentrated on holding it. They had managed to get the hypergate shut off, but were devostated after it. As such, much of the resulting time for the Nomads was spent in reconstruction the outer defences and main city. With those secure, they now turned to plotting. To be breif, and to get on with the main plot, they were plotting new ideas, but nothing had come of it yet.

Suffice to say, even if anyone knew where the Oblivion and Hellbound had gone, it would be nigh impossible to get them out. The Dyson Sphere kept everything out, and the single access point was heavily guarded, and would now only open on the command of the city within the sphere.

DarkStar spoke aloud. "I assume we now owe you something."
No, human. It was we who owed you.
DarkStar smiled. "So we are even then, and i'll have to think of something else for you to help me again."
Correct. You helped our brothers in the confinement of the CRI sleep chambers, and so we have aided in your escape. For us to do this again, however, you will have to perform another act for us.
DarkStar shrugged. "I'm sure i'll find something."
We have no doubt. The Nomads finished speaking and left the strange humans to their own devices.
