Upon re-reading it, yah, you did mention it. Whoops. But still... its a bit... unusual to be friends with both OC and sairs. You'd have to be very careful with it. Before anyone says "zoners" I'd like to point out that Zoners are unfriendly with both.
Liberty stops nearly every trade vessel regardless of ship type, IFF or ID ... so "being stopped" means nothing. If you are considered Kusari you'd be turned back the way you came or destroyed. So since they let you continue along your path and just "stopped and scanned" ... that tells me you are not being treated like Kusari and thus are not considered Kusari.
Not really unusual to be friendly with both Outcasts and Corsairs ... ever heard of Junkers? Pirate ID is sold on both Malta and Crete (as well as other unlawful primary bases). Pirates are tolerated by all unlawfuls ... notice I said "tolerated" ... that's because their not really friends. At best a Pirate ID is neutral. And you can still dock on an "unfriendly" base by the way. You just cannot dock on a "hostile" base. You can be "pink" with a faction and still dock and buy stuff ... ask any trader/smuggler.
Kinda strange for a Trader ID'd character to be moving commodities between Malta and Manhattan don'tcha think? How on Earth (ahem ... I mean "in Sirius") can a Trader be friendly with BOTH Liberty and Outcasts? And how can the same Trader trade with both Outcasts and Corsairs? Um ... how can a "lawful" Trader ID dock at any unlawful base? These are some questions that should be taken into same consideration as the questions you ask regarding the Pirate ID.
Believe it or not, I've actually seen two Container Transports with Trader ID's that had Tizona and Wyrm turrets mounted. Bit strange for a Trader isn't it? Kinda like a poor man's capship ... 12 turrets that can really pack a punch. My gunboat barely got out alive ... I had a thread of hull left and no bats/bots before destroying the second CT.
