Originally, when I fist started enforcing it heavily, the idea was to get newbies onto the forums so that they'd figure out how to RP faster and stop spoiling the game for the rest of us. Basically, 'Hey, if you want to fly a giant doomship then you have to agree to these rules, which are designed to keep you in-RP so that you don't make playing this game a royal pain for all the other players.' Alas, a very vocal minority which included a number of Admins decided that this violated HUMAN RIGHTS LOL and that single players were obviously as important as massive player factions. Lol. Then they came and took away the Faction's ability to enforce their cap registration and refused to allow us to RP it as mandatory. Lololol. Then they took away the factions' rights to sovereign territory. LULZNOPLOX. And now factions are basically a bunch of people with the same tag that have fewer rights than single random lulwutting noobs. U C wut they did thar?
