Don't worry, little resources are wasted in the opening of small airlocks to let out unprotected prisoners. It creates the desired effect of intimidation, with no ammunition wasted. We don't even need to clean the mess off the paintwork, since it tends to burn up on reentry into atmosphere.

Of course, we can always land on a station and have other prisoners clean their comrades' remains off of the side, should we wish to hurt their morale further.

Anyway, your concerns are appreciated, Comrade Xing. Good thinking, and your methods may be tested at some point in the future. Should test subjects be necessary, I'm sure we can find some, although I am generally against cruel and unusual punishment, excepting cases of espionage, treason and other such crimes. Then again, some of our foes do particularly irritate me, so we'll come to a compromise.
