Battle for Dune was done by Westwood. EA published it. That was all.
Battle for Dune still remains one of my favourite RTS game. Such a blast.

And as for that Gamer's Bill of Rights..

Quote:1) Gamers shall have the right to return games that dont work with their computers for a full refund.

No. There's system requirements for a reason. If they don't know what their computer is able to handle, they should buy a console.

Quote:2) Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.

I agree with this one. And the games released in an unfinished state usually bomb horribly. Age of Conan, for one. Funcom screwed up on that one.

Quote:3) Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a games release.

Meaningful updates meaning... Patches? Or added content? Because depending on the game, I'd say people shouldn't expect meaningful content, and should be happy if they get it. MMO's should get added content, it's an ever changing world. But for some games there's no need. A lot have modding tools these days, and people can create their own content.

Quote:4) Gamers shall have the right to demand that download managers and updaters not force themselves to run or be forced to load in order to play a game.

This one's a personal opinion. I for one love Steam, and if I can get a game on Steam without having to go to the store, I'm happy.
EDIT: I should also add that I keep Steam running whenever my PC is on. I love looking through the news on it, I use their "friends list interface" to organize games with tons of my TF2 buddies, and it makes it incredibly easy to find what I want to play.

Quote:5) Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will play adequately on that computer.

Gamers shouldn't expect "minimum requirements" to allow the game to run on high. Other then that, there's usually no problem.

Quote:6) Gamers shall have the right to expect that games wont install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their consent.

Not disagreeing here.

Quote:7) Gamers shall have the right to re-download the latest versions of the games they own at any time.

Steam allows this.

Quote:8) Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers.

Meh. I haven't had any problems with any of the DRM software, whether it be SecuROM or Steam. There's always gonna be *******s out there who will do whatever they can to crack a game. And as sad as it sounds, there's always hundreds of gamers that download that cracked game and say, "Oh, I'll buy it when I have a chance", and never do.

Quote:9) Gamers shall have the right to demand that a single-player game not force them to be connected to the Internet every time they wish to play.

Get with the times. If you have a computer able to run these games, you have internet access.

Quote:10) Gamers shall have the right that games which are installed to the hard drive shall not require a CD/DVD to remain in the drive to play.

Every game I've bought recently hasn't needed the CD/DVD in the drive to play. Makes me pretty happy. Although it wasn't a big deal before. So I had to switch CDs every once in awhile. It happens.
