i just looked at a preview video of Freelancer 2! ITS BEYOND AWESOME! you guys should see the graphical detail! you can build and create your own ships! i cant understand why Anvil went under! this would have been an awesome game really! check out the previews here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj56okQaxZI
by the way making FL2 will take months and will cost lots of money to make

i've heard some guy is chatting to microsoft so that they can think about making Fl again MANy ppl are dying (not dead die) and complaining about the creation of FL2.
FL2 could be one huge sucess. Igiss and dudes from lancersreactor could maybe make a plan and get the srcipts and source code by microsoft (Wich someone suggested) and help Microsoft make FL2.but the real question is can they afford it?
