But this all changed when an exploratory Rheinland group, led by Franz Schulman, entered the Omicron Gamma system.. Seeing this as an opportunity to gain all sorts of supplies, goods, and whatever could be salvaged, the Corsairs attacked the exploratory fleet en masse, and killed everyone but Franz Schulman, which they used to gain control off the mother ship Schiller, which was above their planet. From that point on, the Corsairs would venture out and pirate goods from Traders and the like.. At around 500 AS, the house nations started to call the populace by their current names, the Corsairs.
