Authority of Independents

I do write up bio's. I am working on The Retriever, Jeffrey and then another project for the ESS. I just do not have the time, and I do not want my game-play to be penalised for it, or me to have to wait to only fly my ship after I post my biography and have it ratified.

Interesting. So, you, as an alternate account, have time to work your primary account, argue endlessly on this account, and you don't have time to conform to a few regulations as you write up bios.

This poll is about whether indies can enforce the laws of the official faction as if they were part of the faction itself.

I disagree. The poll asks:

Do Independents have the same authority as their respective Official faction (such as Liberty and Order)?

It includes all of a factions authority; the power to declare war, the power to impose tariffs, the power to write laws, etc. Enforcing is a given; creating is not. Even I, when I was being my powerhungry self with my independent Fantasia in my pre-101st days I didn't presume to write entirely new laws. I proposed numerous motions and waited for endorsement or rejection from the 101st and, to a lesser extent, RoS, (which was in its juvenile stage at that point, a gawky import that was still finding itself), but I never tried to write entirely new laws and enforce them on my own; that would be ridiculous. A single individual can't command that kind of power, only an organized policymaking force. I had pull and sway within the Outcasts back then, but I was in no way running my own little show. Governmental power was with the factions, and there it should stay.
