My Father's Rhino's cruise engines died on my for the last time, today. Luckily, I didn't need them to get to Hamburg and buy a new ship: a Camara. Always function over form over there. I like that, surprisingly. I can finally sit properly in the cockpit - the Rhino is too small for anyone over 6'6. However, it left a big dent in my pocket. At least I'll be able to fend off attackers a bit better.

I had a look in the cargo hold. Then I decided to walk to the end of it. Wow, it's a deceptively large ship. 350m^3 of cargo space! Now that's handy. It looks like I'll be a bigger target for pirates now, though. Not really looking forward to that. I'll need to upgrade the turrets sometime soon. I saw some rather nice ones on Freeport 2, but the Zoners said I wasn't allowed them. They showed me to some others, I forgot the name, but at $35k each, it might be a while before I can fit all six ports with them.

I'm really glad I got into this business. Mum won't care either way, but Dad would be proud that I've stepped up a bit. Speaking of whom, the Rheinlanders wouldn't even buy his ship from me. I had to sell it as scrap! I was quite offended by that, but it was for the best.

I think I'll stick with my current trade route for now, but I think I might be able to try something a little better-paying once I've upgraded my weapons.
