The facts are that capital ships in real life are used to project power, and they should be used to project power in FL. During war and sometimes just for "saber rattling" ships from one nation do enter the territories of ships from another nation.
As far as escorts, not everyone on the server can get escorts all the time, and that shouldn't be a limit to anyone enjoying the server. One player should be able to take his single ship anywhere RP allows, be it an LF or a BS.

Making caps more versatile will not affect the plethora of oorp capship PvP idiots who roam the systems like Dirty Harry on crack. They will always have to find the ultimate ship for winning in combat.
And here we go again with an overstated and largely made up issue.
' Wrote:This issue has nothing to do with factions at all. It has everything to do with a slight modification of the ships out there in favour of something that, from what Jinx says, is moving towards co-operative play. That's co-operative, not faction.
It has everything to do with factions. Indy players play alone much more often than factions, biasing ships toward greater effectiveness in groups beyond the normal advantage of numbers works far far far more in favor of faction players than indies, even if that isn't your goal.

Montgomery Al. in the late fifties is exactly the mindset of exclusive that the factions view indies with. The "back of the bus" attitude.
