Treachery!

Today a Lane Hacker attacked one of our cells in Hamburg. I arrived in the midst of his ambush. This Lane Hacker, sporting a Lane Hacker gunship, had tractor in several of our comerades and was attempting to make off with them. When I demanded that release our fellow party members, not only did he not do so, but he focused his fire upon my ship. Imagine that, the coward feared a sole Loki. Perhaps he was right, though, as that Loki would soon prove to be his end. Due to the serious nature of this incursion, I called in a rather recent Bundschuh recruit, Helene Krause. Unfortunately, her ship was destroyed by the missiles of this fiend not long after she engaged. I was forced to eject some captured bounty hunters in order to rescue her. I'm ordering the dockmaster on Bruchsal to supply her with a new vessel as a reward for her valour and bravery.



A Rheinland Military patrol happened to be patrolling near Alster shipyard at the time and caught flashes from our battle on their sensors. The ever curious Military ventured deep into the field to see myself embroiled in battle with the Hacker. The Hacker then began to fire upon them as well, pulling them into the fight. I suppose I should be thankful for that. Two soldiers and a rogue pirate might have been too much for me.

Together, defending the Rheinland against this foreign incursion, the soldiers and I managed to bring down this villain and tear his ship apart. The Libertonians appear to have sunk so far as to hire common pirates to attack the Rheinland! By the time of the Hacker's destruction, the battle had moved into Frankfurt. It almost looked like the soldiers were going to be respectable and let me go without a fight. I almost had some hope, some small hope that perhaps the Gottkanzler had not yet driven these soldiers into fanaticism. Alas, 'twas not the case.



I had barely activated my cruise engines to leave the cloud when I noticed one of them, Katharina Guntram, in pursuit. Not far behind her was her wingman, a Viktor Zirzow. I once again suggested that they divert their course. My advice fell on deaf ears. They disrupted my cruise engine and opened fire.

This second battle proved to be rather fruitless, with neither of us being able to get a good hit in. Not too far into the fight, a lone Federal Police Officer stumbled upon a Shadow Outcast Brigade convoy, apparently smuggling through our backyard. He quickly succumed to the Outcast's firepower and was forced to eject. In light of the hand that the military had led me earlier, I gave them a choice. They could go rescue their fellow man, or they could face the same fate as him at the hands of the Volksfront. Being wise ones, they diverted their course and headed for his beacon. Exhausted, I returned to Bruchsal, finally.

Bundschuh, it seems as though the Gottkanzler is losing his grip on the military! Some of their newer recruits are beginning to show compassion and understanding. They haven't yet been broken. We must strike upon this chink in their armour! We must ensure that our message of hope and freedom, of liberation and justice, reaches the lowest ranks of the military! We have a chance to inject a virus into their command structure, showing them the light.
