An idea for a Trader Faction

I have to ask, is there something wrong with playing a trader who has political responsibilities under a corporation? Why not pick a corporation not yet occupied (Universal Shipping, Kishiro, Cryer, etc.) and play that? It might not have the same freedom as an unaffiliated trader, but it is far better according to Roleplay.
