These last 3 posts present the exact reason I asked that a thread be created containing some basic RP guidelines for ALL factions. Otherwise you leave a lot of room for bickering and complaining as to what is allowed and what is not. If you follow the NPC BH from vanilla then intercepting contriband is something that BH will do. But some here (mostly smugglers I suspect) feel that BH should not. Which side is right when there are no written templet dictating what is within RP and what is not.
Komet - Currently I am trying to create an manual for flight operations and tactical engagements.
This will outline what craft need to be present based on the number of pilots available. My intent is to stop the heavy handedness that sometimes occurs when people log in without knowing how many others are available. Some expect to be solo and thus default to the gunship since it can deal with multiple types of targets and situations. I will note that pilots need to default to their fighters until they know what other pilots are available and then switch.
Keep in mind though, I can only suggest. The entire thing could be tossed right out the window if the others feel its being too restrictive.
Coriko - It was my gunship that intercepted your slaver. And yes if you return or drop the slaves that ends my interest. I view smuggler interdiction just as the NPCs would. You drop it and that ends it. The conversation afterward was my reacting to what was perceived as someone trying to manufacture some excuse for carrying slaves ( I have heard a LOT of really lame ones). I was VERY happy with the creation of ZAS and if you recall have even contacted you to come pick up slaves from a slaver that was destroyed.
