Chasing a Black Pearl

(Before reading please note that some things may sound like modding accusations, but they are just RP excuses for server issues or inability to catch the ship)

It was a long day of missions to get the Bounty Hunters Guild to officialy admit Dave Pysch into their arms, even though already a full fledged member of the SSO. Once the Guild accepted Dave with open arms, the Flagship Aldebaran, escorted by both Dave and 'The Hand Of Payne' left the vicinity of Sheffield station and set in a course for New London. The small trio of ships entered the system and took the trade lane to the first station in standard attack formation, cruiser, battleship, fighter. When the Hand of Payne exited the lane it found an Osiris class battleship roughly 2.5km away from the lane exit.

As quickly as Guild Master Payne could, he announced his intention to attack and began to close in on the target which, for the time being, seemed willing to engage the lighter craft. Shortly after the two craft began to approach eachother the SSO Flagship Aldebaran came flying out of the trade lane and also announced intention to attack, followed by Ace Dave Pysch.

When the pearl spotted the additional capital ship, realised it was a Flagship and also had fighter escort the Pearl initiated retreat protocols. The small trio did their best to follow the vessel and tracked it into the Cambridge system where they lost contact with it. The SSO squad announced their presence to the Sirius Federation within the system and received a wing of fighters in response to assist with locating the pearl.

It was soon located, and tracked to the Leeds system by sattelite. When the SSO reached Leeds they started a search pattern. The Aldebaran located the vessel near planet leeds where it proceeded to head towards the Tau systems, shots were fired from the Aldebaran at the gate, harshly punishing the Pearls shields, but nothing more. The Pearl slipped away.

A couple of Tau systems down the road the Pearl iniated some sort of jamming device that nearly spun the SF fighter squadron and the SSO Capital ships hurling into the nearest rock. The group managed to spot the pearl during this phase but due to both system jamming and whatever other device the Pearl had onboard.. it completely vanished. The SF Fighters fell back to Bretonia as not to overstep their boundaries and the SSO Capital ship and fighter proceeded to assist the BHG with other emergencies.

After a good amount of time searching the system the Aldebaran moved on to the next system connecting to Omicron Alpha where it also proceeded to search, with no fruit for the labor. Aiden ordered his Ops personel to piece together the scans and get any and all information gathered on the ship pieced together into a report.

The report was delivered to Aiden in the captains quarters, he read it carefully. The reports noted that the "Black Pearl" was severely under equiped to the point where a cruiser could possibly devestate it before it managed to kill off the cruiser or force the cruiser to flee. There were also some odd devices detected on the vessel, one of which was assumed to be the jamming device that messed with the Aldebaran and other vessels, the other unknown completely.

Aiden put down the report, upset that the vessel got away, he thought, "Damn, that would have been an excellent mark to take home." He commed the bridge and ordered a course set for Corfu station in Omicron Theta.
