In my opinion some officials are killing this game. They should be a bit more friendly to indies and noobs. They where keeps saying "this is ridiculous that you did, building a base here" in Cambridge. Like I would kill a person in real life. They enforce they will like they are only owners of the server. That's why I would never join an official faction. Wake up we are a community. Imagine all indies and noobs will go, with who you will play? A few players from other official factions? And it will max 50 players in 200+ systems?
I think it's a really bad thing for game play - ownership of factions. IMHO it will be better if leaders would be elected. Like presidents in real life at a set interval. Then a person know he can loose his place if he is scum he may try to improve his attitude to get sympathy of others.
I started to play this game again then I've seen that it was updated to a new release and there are some interesting possibilities like base building, cloaks and so on. But I remember for sure that then I played it for a few months 2 years ago there was many times I could not enter the server because it was full. Now I don't see it to be full since I play from this spring. This mean people are going away. Too bad, because it's an interesting game.
But I won't leave the game right now. Now I have a goal - to make officials feel that they are not 100% owners of the server.
I will only comment selectively, because I don't really want to get dragged into this discussion.
On the matter with Trafalger: basic string of actions when you want to plan anything: think, talk, act
On the matter of some officials ruining the game: look at the recent developments within the LSF, but then again other factions (seem to (?)) work fine
