Baneblade is crap, it doesn't do anything other than make new players poo themselves when it rolls into their base:PReally, just surround it with three or so basic Ork squads, and you'll find it can't move and is left helpless due to the game engines inability to run untils over.

' Wrote:Damn it! Im still awaiting the Necrons to come into it all. Then you'l all be pwned Da'am K'avosh style.
They arrived as a playable race in Dark Crusade, although you first see them in the last level of winter Assualt, although they're on the sharp end of the stick that's trying to jab them back to the crypt that time. You can no play them in WA.

YUs, they are. They arrived as a playable race in Winter Assualt, and have been a feature ever since. I have often theorised on the concept that is you found someone with a bad CPU, you could just flood them with IG units and laugh as their RAM melted and harddrive exploded.

' Wrote:Ugh... Chaos marine history is long one.

Tehnically, they used to be most loyal of marines... and one day, imperium found gateway to warp. Warp there is secondary dimension, one so twisted and wicked that no normal human can even gaze upon it and remain sane. 13 marine chapters were sent in eye of terror to end chaos(creatures and gods native to warp) from attacking Imerium. For long time, there was only silence and no reply from those legions... untill one day they descended on imperial worlds... twisted mockery of their former glory, ravaging in slaughter, gore and pain.

Thats short of it.

And Legion og the damned is either chaos marine chapter, or deamon army. Since all of 4 chaos gods have their uniqe deamon servants, and they form armies of them to send upon mortal plane.
And nah, I played for a few years as well, and Chaos Legions were not formed by marching the founding Legions into the Warp, they did that to themselves later on.

The chaos gods whispered to the Primarches they considered to be more suspetible to their blatherings, namely Horus, the Emperor's Warmaster and right hand man.

Horus then convices half the Primarches to turn their Legions on the Emperor, causing the Age of the Imperium. Horus purposefully attacked while the Ultramarine Legion was on the other side of the Galaxy seeing as Horus knew that the Ultramarine Primarch was the only one other than the emperor that could probably beat him in martial prowness and tactical skill.

The Tratior Legions fall on Terra, Emperor takes the fight to Horus, Horus dies, Emperor fatally wounded, etc, etc. To stop the Primarches from weilding such extreme power in the future (absolute power corrupts absolutly the saying goes) the Legions were each divided into Chapters of 1000 marines.

As for the Legion of the dammed, the entire Chapter was lost during a warp jump, aswas assumed lost. The chapter reappeared centuries/millenia later all corpsefied and disease ridden, possesing the power to fase in and out onto the battlefield, so far as the lore goes. On the tabletop it just gives them the ability to Deep Strike into battle (you can choose where to deploy them on the table).

And yah, partially reliable lecture over:P

Oh, and there's a Tyranid mod for DC as well! I haven't downloaded it yet, but I might give it a try soon.
