A tallish, clean shaven man with short, dark hair walks into the room.
" Is this the BAF recruiting office?" He asks.
The aide looks up from her crossword and glares at him, obviously distracted from a very important train of thought involving one of the few unfilled lines.
"Yes, it is, what do you want?"She snaps.
"I'd like to join, I have a lot of fl..."
"Yeah yeah, take a form, fill it in, give it in and don't bother me, I'm working"
The man, looking rather annoyed with the aide, takes a form and walks to one of the desks, saying over his shoulder:
"Oh, by the way, 23 down is "Centurion" "
He sits down and starts writing in a near illegible scrawl, before crossing it out and writing in block capitals:

Previous occupation: Freelancer for the past 2 years, doing work for the BAF when they didn't have the pilots, time or guts to do it themselves.
Previous experience: See above, plus a few months working for the LNS.
Reasons for joining: I've been basically working for the BAF for ages, this just gives me the same deal only with a steady paycheck on top.
Preferred area of assignment: Where Bretonia needs another pilot most.
Other comments: I also have my own templar, the Sircian, lent to me for "as long as I continue to serve the BAF" by one of the Lieutenants on the Norfolk when I singlehandedly wiped out a corsair battle station in a hawk. Although it's a few years old and may not be as well kitted out as many of your ships, it's still servicable, in part thanks to a few personal modifications I've made to it, so you wouldn't have to pay as much to get me flying for Bretonia full time.
With the form completed, he stands up and hands it to the aide, who has just finished her crossword, and sits down again, rummaging in his bag for something. Having found it, he pulls out a large book and starts reading, waiting for a response from the BAF about his application.
