' Wrote:"and BOOOOOOO another indie cruiser on disco booooo you again" - while it was probably meant as a joke ... we should REALLY get rid of that kind of prejudice on the server....
regarding to the size - there is little lore about it...
we can only judge by the general shape and maybe the number of windows about the number of crewmembers.
- the 4.85 praefect has few windows - but they are spread over the whole ship - so it suggests that large parts of it are actually inhabitable
- the 4.85 BHG battlecruiser has a HUGE number of windows all over the larger parts of the ship - making it look like its actually both, a troop transport and a warship ( maybe a bit like the russian helicopter "Hind" - which is both, a gunship and a transport )
- the 4.85 BHG destroyer has only very few windows - and doesn t look like its a slightly larger gunboat
- the 4.85 IMG battlecruiser looks like it can hold quite a big number of crew, too - but not as much as the BHG BC
- the outcast destroyer has a messed up scale and doesn t look like it needs many - also due to the lack of any windows of freelancer style.
- the liberty cruiser appears to be rather small - both in sheer size and it also doesn t look like it needs a large crew to be operated
- the 4.85 liberty battlecruiser won t have many windows - and looks more like it runs with a rather small crew - its also quite a sleek design
- the bretonian destroyer is large and appears to hold quite some crew - but compared to some other cruisers, its rahter smallish, when it comes to how many ppl you can imagine to be aboard - the ship is large... but most parts don t look like they are made for the crew to live in.
- the rheinland cruiser looks much larger than it is. - its a bit dumpy and comes with a fully operational docking bay. - it doesn t show many windows.... but one can imagine that its quite roomy - not as large as the BHG though.
- the kusari destroyer is more a larger gunboat...
- the zoner destroyer is large and quite massive and uses its voluminous extensions as cargospace - for transporting refugees ... it might do... but when its about the crew - it probably holds only a few people.
all in all - i think that the 4.85 BHG battlecruiser will be the ship that has the largest crew.
when its about the size - i believe that the corsair cruiser is one of the very large ones, so are practicly all the battlecruisers ( they are quite similar in size ) - also the outcast destroyer is not really small ( its just flat - but not really small )
Well, It prolly was a joke, but sorry, Im taking Discovery rather seriously and things like capwhore or "another indie cruiser" sound rather offensive to me.
And thanks, looks like you have get my point... I dont really want to use BS, altough it would be maybe better for the job...but its still a battleship.
So I want cruiser, it would be more like command-center than a warship ( Thats just a metaphor, not the real purpose) ... So I want the one which would be possibly capable of taking in a large number of people, not really troops, but Scientist, engeneer, mechanics, and such, so when ive told "largest" it wasnt really about the hitbox, but number of rooms, so to say. And I have forgot to mention that it should be legal, or, rather -neutral, so Corsair and Outcast vessels will not be best choice, since I think that Houses wont really accept that, no matter what is inside and what is his purpose. It also should look more defensive than offensive, because it will never be agressor... Thats why I so far looked on Albatros and Zoner Destroyer.
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.
