My own mild injuries are just that. Mild. The crew are for the most part fine. Condolences are not needed. Comprehension is.
Captain Torben, not you nor anyone else are to engage in hostilities near Yanagi or any Junker base. Irregardless of enemy craft presence; they hold their fire, you hold yours. Collateral damage to the station from stray weapons fire is a constant threat, as is escalation of hostilities if the area becomes a warzone.
I opened fire in earnest on both you and the destroyer because you ignored my many verbal warnings, and then my warning shots. Despite the hazards to everything else in weapons range, you and the Ferres continued to fire on the Aggressor. In spite of the treaty agreed to by the Dons, you breached the no-fire protocols of Yanagi's perimeter.
The loss of the former Caveat Emptor was a small price to pay to set an example of the actions Junker Guard ships will take to defend Junker stations and personnel. She is a peacekeeper craft. If a captain breaks the very simple rules we set out as a guideline to do business here, I and the likes of me see to it that he or she is removed. Our regulation is not a request. It is a rule that will be backed by deadly force if broken.
Your little display endangered not only Corsairs and Junkers in the vicinity, but Outcast personnel aboard Yanagi itself. Keep in mind that stray shots travel a long way. It's often the tachyon bolt that misses the target by fractions of a centimeter that breaches a base's lodging decks.
Your war does not take place around Yanagi. The 5k radius around the depot is a no-fire zone. This is NOT NEGOTIABLE. You are completely aware of this. You simply choose to ignore it because of the firepower at your disposal.
Most Corsairs understand the necessity of this ruling, which explains the confusion of the Aggressor's captain when you decided to use his craft to entertain your bored gunners. Most Outcasts understand it as well.
As the captain of a Dreadnaught, I'd hoped this would be clear to you. What will become clear to you are the consequences of ignoring this very simple rule.
