And tomorrow on roll-call he got a nice surprise.
He was, after a good speech by his commanding officer, promoted to Liutenant Junior Grade.
He swelled with pride while the officer pinned his new signs of rank on his uniform.

He was so glad to have finally been recognized for his hard work. Plus, this meant he was a full fledged pilot now, not a semi-trainee anymore. He immediately started to think about the weapons he would get for his ship.. He decided on GUARDIAN-s and Tizonas, and was very excited to try them out in combat, and if possible shoot some enemies down with them.

He was so excited. When no one was listening he just kept repeating in whispers, "LTJG Flamewing, LTJG Flamewing"..It had quite a nice ring to it. He was determined to make it known among his allies, and even more among his enemies..
