Bombers vs. VHFs

Light fighters are the bane of Bombers. But most people give them up for more power. Once you can dodge nukes in the Light Fighter there isn't a group of bombers that can beat you. And making stronger mines will make VHFs die as easy as light fighters to bombers.
In my opinion the only reason bombers are so powerful in pvp is because there is a lack of skilled light fighter pilots.

If we must change bombers, I'd suggest using Starlancer as our guide, which would also mean capital ships would have to be changed. Bombers would be much slower and have no anti-fighter weapons, but have a greater range than capital ships, and be able to launch multiple torpedoes at once, and easily kill cruisers. Cruisers would have to be slower and have less turning rate, so it is actually able to hit them at a long range. The torps would be able to be intercepted by fighters gun fire, but flying a capital ship without fighter cover would be suicide. So would flying a bomber without fighter cover, mind you. Of course, one torpedo is enough to kill a fighter if they are stupid enough to fly into one, but torps are too slow to be used as anti-fighter and bombers have a much large explosion radius because of the munitions it carrys onboard, and heavily damage any fighter that gets too close when it blows.
