The PvP-whoring isn't the problem, it's a symptom of the problem. I for one mostly go on the server to have some fun killing people, because I'm not going to lie, I can't have fun RPing anymore. So I cleverly disguise it with a little bit of RP, blow some people up, and sign off. I had fun, and had I just sat there typing like an idiot (no offense) then I would not have had fun.
If you want to fix the PvP-whoring, don't restrict it, restore the alternative (RP) to its attractive state, because RP sure as hell isn't fun right now. That's my piece.
