Maybe, maybe not. That's not the point.
If your unique character is within server rule, it's your own prerogative to RP him or her as you like.
You can't, however, complain when people don't understand your RP if you choose to go out of the ordinary in the first place. Can't have your cake and have it too, I suppose.
