I don't mind the missiles so much as the lack of interaction.
I don't care what the other players back story is, but on a server where the point is playing a role in a universe, at least interact once in a while.
Look I myself barely read most of the stories written on the forums, and I don't write them often myself, more power to whoever does, but ingame, i wouldn't mind a tiny bit of knowledge on what the different player factions are from various random traders and pirates.
As for 'rp' I try to keep mine simple. I can get it boiled down in about two in game messages.
btw, i agree with Xoria's bit about people asking what faction a certain character should belong to.
Its the other way around people, pick the faction or the role then diddle around with details. here to have fun and play pretend.
Orin has got point though, it shouldn't just be people that have been here for ages that get freedom to have their own special chars. If that was the case I would still have Olsav riding around in a Wrath with junker guns shooting down corporate traders.
But to have a special char, i have noticed that people dont take it seriously unless there are like 5 pages of back story. I remember applying for mine way back when, was just a paragraph, got the point across, its how what someone does with it as opposed to the justification.
I like to let my ingame actions do the talking.
PS: also why you have to hate on the flood topics Xoria? flood is there for mindless fun. SPAMSPAMSPAM
