At first I was very excited about the DHC. With transports and escort stuff. But only times I've seen you in person have been in fights.
The same goes to RWK chars.
I really haven't had much of an interaction in RP wise from you guys. But truth to be told the situations have not allowed me either to really have an RP session with you guys.
Sure, everyone likes to win, buuuuut it's not everything.
I believe some of the frustration you have experience have been the nasty surprises that some of rheinland's criminals are the best pilots the server has to offer. And you have lost bad and against the odds. It eats you from inside. But RM has some of the most skilled pilots in the server too in their ranks.
It's a tough corner of the world to be. And some of the OPG and Brotherhood (you don't see TBH members in Rheinland) are very good pilots also. So you can see that Rheinland pirates (especially RHA) does get a LOT of mortal combat to hone their skills. Not to mention the recent influx of BH.
In fact one of the RM pilots said to me after I chatted with him after an engagement that we keep him in shape. He had been fighting easy fights against some of the losers that wander down from Liberty (this was a month or more so) and gotten too over-confident.
But where does this all lead? We try to have gentlemen's rules in Rheinland in not swamping the opposition with numbers.
I personally ask via PMs if I see a fellow RHA or Rheinland criminal in space and see that there's a good chance that he's fighting if he needs help. And so far NO-ONE has replyed by saying that "Join in the wtfpwn session. We outnumber them 3 to 1 so come quickly or you miss the kills!"
Usually the odds are already against them and they say: "Help!" or many times: "No thanks we can handle this." And I do not enter fights.
The same goes for RM. I've had many times talked with Herr Kruger (Gronath) before and after fights and he has dispatched a wing to investigate. Of course the odds always favor the RM in those cases, but he has also recalled an odd RM pilot who just logged in and saw the fight and went in making the odds impossible for me to win.
It's a little secret we have there. We fix the fights. And everyones happy. It's called taking into consideration of the other side also.
The biggest and greatest problem we have in Rheinland are the great unknowns. Bounty Hunters in caps. They can severely tip the odds. RM has tried to tell them NOT to engage in a pretty even furball saying to BHs that they can handle it. Sometimes the BH have evened the odds (like the fights we've had lately). In those fights usually the coordination has won the day.
I seriously suggest you try to integrate yourselves with the RM. They have a solid RP and they could use fresh blood in their ranks. I guarantee that if you join them you'll get enough fights to make you appreciate the RP. And in time the RM will weld together into a excellent fighting force.
About multifactioning: People want different views on the same issue. It makes things interesting. Suddenly the RP and fighting style your buddies employ in the faction is not so great as you thought they were when they come after you. Then you see a whole new perspective. It's also one of the greatest cures to desire to swamp the opponent if you see an already uneven fight.
