After my thoughts earlier today, I have decided to initiate a stronger patrol pattern in Tau-23..
I have went there, alone, with an objective to estimate the enemy forces, and engage if odds are favourable.

I first started my first patrol waypoint to Java station, where I encountered a still intact CR defense system, and no enemies.
I then proceeded on the part of the patrol that goes dangerously close to the outcast base known as Cali, which is the most active area in that system.
There, I encountered only 3 light fighters, it seemed that the rest of their fleet was on a mission somewhere else, for they would have surely launched a stronger fighter defense force.

The light fighters warned me to stay away, but I could feel the subtle note of fear in their voices over the comms.
I decided to, despite being outnumbered, albeit with weaker ships, attack them.
I quickly proceeded with my standard attack pattern, concentrating on just one target.
The first one was taken down quickly, with a decisive salvo of my Dark Blossoms, after disabling his shield with but a few shots out of my shieldbusters. He was torn like tissue paper.

The other two posed a bigger threat, for they seemed to be better trained than the first one, who was probably just a rookie, unaware of what he was getting himself into, making an enemy of the Colonial Remnant.
I disabled both their shields, and I decided to play with my prey a little.
I got them to joust at me from two different sides, and let them hurt my ship a little, just to make it more plausible. I deliberately missed their ships, so they would continue their joust. And when they got very close to me, and when I realized they would turn, I ejected one of my nuke mines.

It provided good service for the price I paid for it.. Their hull was no match for it's blast. Luckily though, I still had some of my shield power left, so my hull was not damaged.

All in all, it was a good day, and I struck somewhat of a blow on their force. While I was returning to Tau-44, I laughed uncontrollably, imagining the faces of their ships who would return to Cali, only to find the wreckage of their somewhat small sized defense task force..

Some ambrosia will wet my throat just right, killing makes you thirsty I guess..
