The Ice Cube

*enters bar*

-Thinking to himself what a drag it is to be kicked out pf sunbucks, he sits at the corner table-

"Can I have a sidewinder?"

-Bar tenner pours him a drink-

Bar tenner- "Why the long face?"

-Looking at him for a brief second then returning to look at the glass-

"Well, I lost my job as a transport manager over in Colorado. Got into some trouble trying to make ends meet...you know....ah then stuff with my brother and junk yatta yatta but eh nothing for you to be concerned with.. you have your own life. Ha ah this is a nice place you got here I wouldn't mine having a bar of my own. But I guess I would have to sell my ship to start one though..."

-Bar tenner-" Ah I see, well I just work for the bar I don't own it, I don't think it would be that much, just get some contracts for drinks and there ya go. Where do ya live?"

"Live? eh...in my ship and where ever my ship is docked. I did have a place in Denver but it got foreclosed on, things in Colorado are so messed up. Insane taxes and everything..."

Bar tenner- "I here ya, Say I have a guest room in the back of the place if you want you can sleep there..."

"I wouldn't want to impose and I don't have money to give..."

Bar Tenner-"Aww c'mon now everyone needs a break once in awhile"

-Todd remand staring at the glass-

"Alright then, thank you let me get my things."

*Todd hands the glass back to the bar tenner and leaves out the front entrance, 12 minutes past and he returns, greets the bar tenner and is escorted to the room*

"Thank you again, if there's anything i can do for this let me know"

Bar tenner-" Don't worry about it, goodnight sir"

"Night"

-Todd lays on the mattress thinking to himself why there is such an unsettling feeling with the compassion shown to him. But eventually drifts asleep-
