The Thread was bumped 3 or 4 times. Is that what all this fuss is about?
I'll re state again
I had already spoken to an Admin ingame about the issue
I told him about my intentions to roleplay a post about a government enquiry.
He agreed to have a look at the issue and discuss it with some of the other Admins, and to reply.

I did not want the thread to fade away, die and be forgotten altogether, so I bumped it.
Simple thread bumps for attention of Admins.
If that is seen as "badgering," "bitching" or "whining" then I think some of you are a bit too sensitive,
they were simple thread bumps to keep the thread and the debate alive.

The debate died on that roleplay thread which is a shame but it seems to have restarted here,
which I'm quite happy about.
At least it is now being discussed.

Not yet. But check the news on various stations, Liberty is bracing for a war.

Yes I have heard that this is a possibility for the next version of the Modd,
I hope it does not happen tho' it will just make gameplay a bit too chaotic in my opinion.
We already have 2 systems at war just now, surely thats enough for the server.

Well I put it to you that during the period of World War 2 the US economy was very much affected by the embargo with Germany. Many of their vessels were targetted by war operations directly, while their trade to many nations in Europe stopped. If the Iraq example is not good enough, then this must be.

Well yes what you state here is true but it's totally different circumstances, and does not transfer to our situation ingame as a good comparison.
Germany was at War with most of the rest of the world including the USA.
The wartime industry and economy of the USA went into overdrive to feed the War effort.
In large part it was the USA Industrial might that won World War II

Liberty and Rheinland are NOT at war and this embargo is harming the Liberty economy and people.
That is why I felt it should be challenged in a court of enquiry hearing.

Hell, I know of a guy who roleplayed an actual court case and won it, recieving several million credits from the LN for an accident that he "subpoena'd" them for.

That one is brilliant and I wish I had thought of it.
Right now in roleplay I have [KoF]-Chakotay ingame on the server with his Border World Transport full of Diamonds
impounded on Manhattan awaiting an outcome of the enqiry hearing.
That char could be stuck there for a long time.
