The Relation between Ageria and the nationalized trade lanes is delicate. I don't believe your concept represents that. Not only that, but there would need to be profit in whatever Ageria would do. It is a corporation, and probably answers to a board of directors and investors and such.

Why must everyone insist in bringing combat into a perfectly good trade/research faction? And worse, Moral combat! What kind of a corporation would Ageria be if it had to answer to some kind of moral athority?
Why would there be Lane Hackers if it did!
